EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

TWO YOUNG INVENTORS FROM ANAMBRA BUILD BITTER-LEAF WASHING AND EXTRACTOR MACHINE.{MIXED PHOTOS}.

         Anambra State Online has come across the story of two young geniuses who constructed a machine that would save many lives. The young men constructed a machine that can wash bitter leaf and convert the juice for medicinal purposes. The men who are from Anambra state named the machine OGANIHU C². They revealed to Anambra State Online that Oganihu is the Igbo word for progress, adding that the C2 stands for the first letters of their names. OGANIHU C² inventors, Ubaka Chukwuebuka Patrick and Atikpo Chukwuebuka Patrick, stated that the machine washes bitter leaf and converts the juice into medicinal substances. They revealed that the juice that is generated after washing bitter leaf can be used as liquid fertilizer, methanol and insecticides.       The reproductive system of a 12-year-old girl, Faith Nwanja, who was allegedly tortured and mutilated by her mistress, Mrs Nkechi Bartholomew for being too stubborn has been seriously damaged. The revelation was made, yesterday, by the Ebonyi State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, while briefing journalists on the development. Nwanja, was tortured, mutilated and abandoned by Bartholomew. Bartholomew, a childless woman and seamstress adopted Nwanja and took her to Onitsha, Anambra State, when she was eight years and allegedly disfigured her. The woman allegedly inserted sticks inside the girl’s private parts which have caused her serious damage to the reproductive system. Nwanja has shocking scars and injuries all over her body, including eyes, mouth, head. She also has bloodied mouth and has lost one of her hands to torture. LAGOS COMPLETES 450 ROADS, 50 OTHER IMPACTFUL PROJECTS IN THREE YEARS.{PHOTO}.

     The Lagos State Government   on Wednesday   said that it has completed the construction and rehabilitation of 450 major roads and 50 other impactful projects in the last three years to make life comfortable and build a sustainable environment for residents and visitors. Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Adebowale Akinsanya who said this at the ongoing Ministerial Press Briefing held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa as part of activities to mark the third year anniversary of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration, said aside the completed projects, several others were at various stages of completion and would contribute to the vision to make Lagos emerge as Africa’s model smart city and global economic and financial hub. OLUSOSUN DUMPSITE: POLICE TEAM ARRESTS 80, RECOVERS TOY GUN, WEAPONS.{PHOTOS}.

      Lagos State Police have arrested over 80 miscreants, recovered a toy gun, dangerous weapons, fake currency and substances suspected to be cannabis from Olusosun Dumpsite squatters. The police team, comprising officers drawn from Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos State Taskforce, Counter Terrorism Unit, Alausa Police Station and other police formations, stormed the dumpsite early today to eject the squatters who had already built a hideout at the location. The miscreants in a bid to resist police arrest, set fire on the dumped waste to scare the operatives from carrying out their arrest but the raging fire did not deter the operatives from apprehending the suspects. Recovered from the hideout built by the suspects were a toy gun, 23 pieces of fake US dollars, 3 cutlasses, 21 kitchen knives, 6 butchers’ knives, 9 hammers, 5 reflective jackets, substances suspected to be cannabis, charms among others.
