Stakeholders Call For Equity, Justice And Strategic Balance, Demand Zoning Of Zangon Kataf/Jaba House Of Representatives Seat To Zangon Kataf  Stakeholders across the Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency in Kaduna State have renewed calls for what they describe as equity, fairness, and strategic political balance in the rotation of the area’s seat in the House of Representatives. In a communiqué addressed to the Governor of Kaduna State, the state leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), traditional rulers, religious leaders, community development associations, political stakeholders, and the electorate, the group advocated for the zoning of the federal legislative seat to Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.  The stakeholders argued that demographic and electoral figures demonstrate a significant imbalance in representation.  According to data presented in the communiqué, the constituency has a total population of 474,964, with Zangon Kataf Local Government ac...

IMF,URGES NIGERIA TO ADOPT A FLEXIBLE EXCHANGE RATES.

                 The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund is urging Nigeria to introduce greater exchange rate flexibility and to begin unwinding currency restrictions.President Buhari and several ministers were in Washington as part of the Nuclear Security Summit and the Spring Meetings of the IMF and World Bank.The IMF is advising Nigeria on a whole range of economic measures,while predicting growth to decline further,to 2.3% in 2016.One more photo below.

2 COOKS WERE ARRESTED FOR PICKING UP SANITARY PADS OF STUDENTS FROM DUSTBIN ON FRIDAY AT THE FEDERAL GIRLS COLLEGE,AKURE.

                      Over the weekend in Federal Girls College {FGC} Akure in Ondo State Capital,an alarm was raised by the students that their used sanitary pads are being allegedly picked by two of their cooks.The suspects were alleged caught by the students at their dustbins on friday,which was a day to their Visiting day.The boarding students who were in Junior Secondary School {JSS} three and the Senior Secondary School {SSS} three were preparing for their Junior and Senior West Africa Examination Council {WAEC}.Other students are on holiday break.It was learnt that the aggrieved students quickly reported the matter to one of their teachers,who informed the Principal on the issue.Already,the two suspects have been suspended by the School Principal,Mrs Florence Ejikeme and had been handed over to police for proper investigation.The students were said to have attempted to stage a protest on that friday,but were calmed by the cha...

                Alaska Air Group Inc {ALK.N} said today monday that it would buy Virgin America Inc {VA.O} for $2.6 billion to become tthe top carrier on the U.S West Coast and compete more effectively with larger airlines.The deal appears to end what Alaska Air Chief Executive Officer Brad Tilden called a hard fought competition to purchase Virgin America.JetBlue Airways Corp {JBLU.O} had also made an offer for the offshoot of billionaire Richard Branson's London based Virgin Group,which had become famous for its mood lighting and media rich entertainment on flights.According to Deutsche Bank analyst Michael Linenberg wrote in a recent research note that,The deal would create the fifth largest U.S airline after a decade of mergers that have shrunk the industry to a handful of companies.The top four control more than 80 percent of the U.S travel market.Virgin America accounts for about 1.5 percent of U.S domestic flight capacity,while Alaska Air a...
