  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. IMF,URGES NIGERIA TO ADOPT A FLEXIBLE EXCHANGE RATES.

                 The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund is urging Nigeria to introduce greater exchange rate flexibility and to begin unwinding currency restrictions.President Buhari and several ministers were in Washington as part of the Nuclear Security Summit and the Spring Meetings of the IMF and World Bank.The IMF is advising Nigeria on a whole range of economic measures,while predicting growth to decline further,to 2.3% in 2016.One more photo below.                    

2 COOKS WERE ARRESTED FOR PICKING UP SANITARY PADS OF STUDENTS FROM DUSTBIN ON FRIDAY AT THE FEDERAL GIRLS COLLEGE,AKURE.

                      Over the weekend in Federal Girls College {FGC} Akure in Ondo State Capital,an alarm was raised by the students that their used sanitary pads are being allegedly picked by two of their cooks.The suspects were alleged caught by the students at their dustbins on friday,which was a day to their Visiting day.The boarding students who were in Junior Secondary School {JSS} three and the Senior Secondary School {SSS} three were preparing for their Junior and Senior West Africa Examination Council {WAEC}.Other students are on holiday break.It was learnt that the aggrieved students quickly reported the matter to one of their teachers,who informed the Principal on the issue.Already,the two suspects have been suspended by the School Principal,Mrs Florence Ejikeme and had been handed over to police for proper investigation.The students were said to have attempted to stage a protest on that friday,but were calmed by the chairman of the Parents Teachers Association of the schoo
