EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                                                                   The information that i just got is that some people are sending out fake flyers and selling fake tickets for a concert that did not exit.So now Five Star music in Europe is begging everyone that have come in contact with these fake show flyers or advert to contact them immediately.The Five Star management said these suppose show is a sham and the Management is not aware of the concert that Kcee is not performing at any Crystal Palace event.One more photo below.                                                                                        

PORT HARCOURT REFINERY,TO START PRODUCING PETROL IN JULY.

                    Today thursday,the Group Managing Director {GMD},Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation {NNPC},Dr Joseph Dawha said the Port Harcourt Refinery might resume operation by July.Dawha said this while addressing newsmen after a tour of some filling stations in Abuja with some top management staff of the corporation.''When the refinery comes up stream in late June or early July we expect that it will rumn at least 80 percent installed capacity.It will give us a contribution of about five million litres of Premium Motor Spirit {PMS} on a daily basis.If the refineries were not in depth or in good state to process crude for maximum gain there was no need of sending crude to such refineries for processing.What we do is to fix them so that we can get the real value for products.We are satisfied with the level of work carried out so far at the Port Harcourt Refinery so that if we start processing crude now we will get value for the refined products.So there will not be

                      Christopher Lee who found fame in the Hammer Horror films before becoming known to a new generation through his role in fantasy block busters,had been treated for heart failure and respiratory problems in the hospital.He died at the Chelsea and Westminister Hospital in London on sunday morning after threes of treatment,but his widow Mrs Birgit,decided to withhold the news until today so that family and friends could be informed.His Bond co star Roger Moore said ''It's terrible when you lose an old friend,and Christopher Lee was one of my oldest.We first met in 1948''.More photos below.                                                 

A FRAUDULENT MAN MICHAEL,SENTENCED TO JUST 8 MONTHS IMPRISONMENT FOR DUPING ONE HAJIA.

                       Justice Dije Aboki of Kano state High Court,Kano today thursday June 11 2015,convicted and sentenced Michael Onu a.k.a Abdulsalam Yaro Musa,to eight months imprisonment for obtaining money by false pretence.The convict,using different names,had approached one Hajia Zainab to invest in the purchase of a solar material.The unsuspecting victim,at different time,paid various sums of money into bank accounts supplied by the convict,yet no solar material was delivered to her.In her ruling,Justice Aboki sentenced the accused to four months imprisonment and ordered him to pay a sum of N100,000 {One Hundred Thousand Naira} as restitution to the victim,or risk a further four months in prison.

A HOUSEWIFE MERCY EKEH,SUED HER HUSBAND TO COURT FOR LOCKING HER UP FOR 7 MONTHS IN THEIR HOUSE IN LAGOS.

                                       A 20 year old housewife Mercy Ekeh,has narrated how her hsband 30 years old Kelechi Ekeh,forced her to marry him at the age of 17 and kept her in captivity by locking her inside their room apartment for 7 months in Egbe Lagos state.She said she was inside until he impregnated her and thereafter forced her parents to collect N300 as her bride price.But her husband said his decision to keep her in the room was not intended to punish her,saying he was showing her love and caring because he did not want her to suffer in his home.Merch Ekeh who is from Anambra state,narrated her painful story at Ejigbo Customary court,.Lagos where she filed a suit for the dissolution of the marriage.She also told the court that during her captivity she was not allowed to see anybody or her parents.She said whenever Ekeh went to work,he would lock her inside and provide a small bucket for her to ease herself inside the room.She said she was only allowed to come out in t

                       Remember few weeks back,i reported that Miss Zimbabwe,25 year old Emily Kachote,was involved in a scandal that accused her of posing nude prior to the Miss Zimbabwe context,meaning she lied during filling her context form,because it was discovered that she posed nude professionally.So now the organisers of the pageant stripped her off her title following recently leak nude photos.The pageant board in a statement said ''Kachote violated the rules and regulations governing the pageant.Winners of the Miss World Zimbabwe beauty pageant whether a title holder or runner up must not have a title holder or runner up must not have posed nude professionally or socially in all forms of media.Kachote's pictures were leaked shortly after she confessed that she once posed nude.Her predecessor Thabiso Phiri was stripped off her crown after a similar scandal last year.Kachote will be replaced by Runner Up Grace Mutambu,who will represent Zimbabwe at the Miss World Pa
