  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. Undergraduate Convicted for Internet Fraud in Ibadan The Ibadan Zonal Command of the EFCC on Thursday, June 9, 2022, secured the conviction and sentencing of one Bello Ademola Toheeb to six months community service before Justice Sherifat Adeyemi of the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan, on one count charge for internet fraud. The one count reads: “That you, Bello Ademola Toheeb “M” on or about 11th of February, 2022, at Ibadan within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, did falsely represent yourself to be Joy New, which representation you knew to be false impersonation contrary to Section 484 of the Criminal Code Law Cap 38, Laws of Oyo State, 2000.” The convict pleaded guilty to the charge filed against him by the EFCC.

Witness Reveals Forensic Investigations Linking Naira Marley To Credit Card Fraud The trial of Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, continued before Justice I. Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on June 9, 2022, with the EFCC presenting reports of forensic investigations linking the defendant to a Visa Card fraud. Marley is being prosecuted by the EFCC on an 11-count charge bordering on conspiracy and credit card fraud. He pleaded "not guilty" to the charges when he was arraigned on May 20, 2019. The defendant allegedly committed the offence between November 2018 and May 2019.

Money Laundering: Court Adjourns Mompha’s Trial Till June 16 Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Friday, June 10, 2021, adjourned till June 16, 2022, further trial in the case of Ismaila Mustapha, also known as Mompha.   Mompha, alongside his company, Ismalob Global Investment Limited, was arraigned by the Lagos Command of the EFCC on January 12, 2022 on eight counts bordering on conspiracy to launder funds obtained through unlawful activity, retention of proceeds of criminal conduct, laundering of funds obtained through unlawful activity, failure to disclose assets and property, possession of documents containing false pretence and use of property derived from unlawful act. NIGERIAN ARMY HOLDS COAS SECOND QUARTER CONFERENCE 2022 The Nigerian Army (NA) is scheduled to commence the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Second Quarter Conference 2022 from Monday 13 to Friday 17 June, 2022 at the Army Headquarters Command Officers' Mess 1, Asokoro, Abuja. The five-day conference will afford the NA the opportunity to re-appraise its administrative activities in the past 3 months and retrospectively evaluate all ongoing Nigerian Army operational engagements nationwide, with a view to making projections for the next quarter. The conference will also provide a platform for the COAS to effectively interact with Field Commanders. This engagement will cover a wide range of activities, including training, operations, administration and logistics. Akpabio Clinches APC Senate Ticket For Akwa Ibom West In Dramatic Rerun Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has clinched the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial district. Akpabio, who stepped down for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu during the just concluded presidential primary of the party, emerged winner with 478 votes. Out of the 540 delegates, 512 were accredited, of which Sir Joseph Akpan had one vote, DIG Ekpo Udom who initially won the first primary had three votes, while 11 votes were voided. Speaking on Thursday night at the Godswill Akpabio Empowerment Centre in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, where the re-run primary held, Akpabio thanked the people for finding him worthy. Killers Of Fasoranti’s Daughter To Die By Hanging - Ondo Court An Ondo State High Court has sentenced three out of four suspected killers of the 58 year old daughter of the national leader of the Pan Yoruba Socio- Political Group, Mrs Funke Olakunri to death by hanging. They include Muhammed Shehu Usman, Adamu Adamu,and Lawal Mazaje. The three Suspects were convicted by Justice Williams Olamide for conspiracy to murder, kidnapping and armed robbery. The Court, however discharged and acquitted the fourth defendant, Auwalu Abubakar, 25 for conspiracy. Recall that the police also alleged that the suspects also murdered one Ogunbiyi Matthew aged 65 and also kidnapped one Gerald Igboayaka the same day Funke Olakunri was murdered along Ore/ ljebu Ode Expressway on July 12th, 2019.

"Chiomagoodhair: I really should keep the caption simple but looking back at some of the BTS videos of this particular shoot I really must give myself some credit man. We filmed the entire season of RHOL In just under 4 months and sometimes 5/6 days a week. I had one of the most hectic shooting schedules becausel availed myselr for everything I was asked of ( of course due to editing and showtime constraints a lot didn't make the cut ) but it's what we signed up for eh?! During this entire period I didn't see any of my friends and barely saw my family ( they will attest to this). I also didn't travel out of Nigeria to get that much needed break and see the rest of my family. It was really hectic for me mentally, physically and spiritually. It's a show to most of you but it was real life for us. So to deal with some of that toxicity day in day out and be around people regardless of if they are good people or not was extremely draining for me. For the most part I
