 World’s Youngest Reigning Monarch , King Oyo, Dies at 34 King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the traditional ruler of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom who became the world’s youngest reigning monarch after ascending the throne at three, has died at the age of 34. The monarch reportedly died on Thursday, with the Prime Minister of the Tooro Kingdom, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki, announcing his death on Friday. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. However, Ugandan media reports quoted a government minister as saying that King Oyo had been critically ill and was receiving medical treatment in the United States. Reacting to the development, Akiiki described the monarch’s death as a major loss to the royal family and the people of Tooro. He urged members of the kingdom to remain united and calm while mourning the traditional ruler.                       The United Nations and local activists said today monday that fourteen humanitarian workers have been kidnapped in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.U.N mission in Congo's humanitarian coordinator Mamadou Diallo said ''The employees of a Congolese non-governmental organization were abducted on sunday in the Rutshuru region in North Kivu province.The kidnapping confirms the fragile security situation in which the various humanitarian organizations work and whose victims are the local population.I call for the liberation of these humanitarian workers''.Diallo did not say what organization the workers belonged to or who is believed to be responsible for the attack.A local activist group,the Centre of Study for the Promotion of Peace,Democracy and Human Rights,said in a statement today monday that the aid workers were taken in the town of Makoka,60 miles northeast of the provincial capital Goma,by a dozen armed ...
