 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

RAY BAN SUN GLASSES WAS PERMANENTLY TATTOOED ON A MAN'S FACE,WHEN HE WAS DRUNK IN A PARTY.

                                                                           According to sources,a party goer could not believe his eyes when he woke up with a pair of glasses tattooed onto his face.He looked in the mirror after the night out and thought his friends had drawn around his eyes with a marker pen,but when he tried to was the markings off,he realized it was a permanent tattoo,which included the word Ray ban etched into his skin.The man who is in his fifties has since spent two years getting the sun glasses tattoo lasered off his face.The man who is from Swansea,South Wales was on a stage weekend in Blackpool when he had the tattoo inked,on to his face as a drunken dare.Sources said he has agreed to speak about his ordeal on condition that he is not named.He said ''I had no memory of getting the tattoo because i had gone out celebrating and it happened when i was druk.Waking up the morning after,i thought someone had used a permanent marker on my face when i first cam

14 HUMANITARIAN WORKERS WERE KIDNAPPED YESTERDAY,IN CONGO.

                      The United Nations and local activists said today monday that fourteen humanitarian workers have been kidnapped in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.U.N mission in Congo's humanitarian coordinator Mamadou Diallo said ''The employees of a Congolese non-governmental organization were abducted on sunday in the Rutshuru region in North Kivu province.The kidnapping confirms the fragile security situation in which the various humanitarian organizations work and whose victims are the local population.I call for the liberation of these humanitarian workers''.Diallo did not say what organization the workers belonged to or who is believed to be responsible for the attack.A local activist group,the Centre of Study for the Promotion of Peace,Democracy and Human Rights,said in a statement today monday that the aid workers were taken in the town of Makoka,60 miles northeast of the provincial capital Goma,by a dozen armed men.The statement blamed the attac

AMBODE SACKED LASTMA BOSS ''ARABAMEN'' & APPOINTED A NEW PERSON TODAY.

                         Today monday,Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode,sacked Young Arabamen as the Chief Executive Officer,CEO of LASTMA {Lagos State Traffic Management Authority and the Governor appointed ex-Assistant Inspector General of Police,AIG,Christian Akioja Olakpe as the new LASTMA CEO.The appointment of Olakpe is in a bid to revamp LASTMA for improved performance and better relations with the public.Arabamen had been the CEO of LASTMA for eight years,but the governor needed a change for improvement,especially as the administration is working frantically to improve the lots of LASTMA to dislodge traffic nuisance in the state.The appointment of Olakpe,according to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,Mr Habib Aruna,is in strong response to the consistent complaints by the public on the situation of traffic on the streets of Lagos.Olakpe's wealth of experiences was said to have situated him for the new appointment.One more photo below.

THE NIGERIAN ARMY SAID TODAY,THAT THEY HAVE CLEARED A BOKO HARAM CAMP IN BORNO.

                      This information is contained in a statement issued by Col.Sani Kukasheka,the Army Acting Director,Public Relations today monday in Maiduguri.''In continuation with the fight against Boko Haram terrorists,on sunday,troops of 243 Battalion,5 Brigade Nigerian Army on fighting patrol encountered some suspected elements of the terrorists holed up at a primary school in Duwabafi village in Borno.There was heavy exchange of gunfire in which the patrol killed four suspected Boko Haram terrorists,recovered two AK-47 rifles,four various sizes of solar energy panels,several types of drugs and five motorcycles''.One more photo below.
