President Tinubu meets Labour leaders over proposed protest: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with the leadership of the NLC, along with the chairman of Progressive Governors Forum, Hope Uzodimma,  Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo and Governor of Kebbi State, Dr Nasir Idris and the Minister of State Labour, Honorable Nkeiruka Onyejeocha. The chairman of the NLC,Comrade Joe Ajaero led the Labour leaders to the meeting on Tuesday night at the State House, Abuja. ACCORDING TO ANOTHER SOURCE: President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday night held a meeting with the leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) as part of last-minute efforts to stop plans by the Labour union to embark on a strike action over the growing insecurity across the country. Last week, the congress declared a nationwide protest for December 17 over the “degenerating security situation” across the country.                                                            According to France's socialist government today pledged to toughen up its anti face covering law after a veiled Muslim woman was ejected from a major Opera house Bastille .Her ejection from the opera house has divided opinion in the city's liberal arts community,in which cast members performing La Traviata openly objected to the presence of a woman in the audience wearing a niqab type veil.The Director of the Bastille Opera house said ''A singer spotted her in the frount row during the second act.Some performers said they didn't want to sing and she was later kicked out''.There has been a ban on muslims covering their face in public in France since the introduction of the law in 2011.The Muslim woman was from a Gulf state and she attended the performance with a friend.This is the ...

                32 years old Kate Middleton,whose pregnancy was announced last month but the due date had not been released until now which was said to be April 2015.In a statement by the Kensington Palace press said that the Duchess of Cambridge Kate who is around fourteen weeks pregnant is due to give birth in April 2015.She has been suffering from extreme morning sickness but her condition was steadily improving.Kate will make her first public appearance tomorrow tuesday where she will join her husband Prince William to officially welcome Singapore's President Tony Tan as he begins a four day visit to the U.K.Kate recently took refuge with her parents while she was struggling terribly with her debilitating antenatal sickness.More photos below.                                                           ...

A LAGOS BASED HOTELIER OKORO,WAS RE-ARRAIGNED TODAY BY EFCC FOR DUPING A GERMAN MAN.

                       According to sources,the Economoc and Financial crimes Commission,EFCC today monday re-arraigned a Lagos based Hotelier,Augunos Okoro,for allegedly defrauding a German businessman of $330,000.He is facing a 38 count charge bordering on conspiracy,obtaining money by false pretences,forgery and altering.Augunos Okoro,who is the proprietor of Lagos York Hotels,was previously arraigned on 30 May 2003,before Justice Kudirat Kekere Ekun and had pleaded not guilty to the charge.He was re-arraigned before Joseph Oyewole who granted Okoro bail before the trial was stalled as a result of his alleged ill health.The case was transferred to Justice Ipaye due to the fact that the previous Judge Joseph Oyewole was promoted to the court of appeal.It was established by the EFCC Lawyer {Prosecutor} Miss Taiwo Ogunleye,thar Mr Okoro conspired with Morris Ibekwe {now deceased} and Chief E.A Okoro to commit the offence betwee...

                 Today monday the World Health Organisation declared Nigeria free of the deadly Ebola virus after six weeks with no new cases.W.H.O,Representative Rui Gama Vaz said in a conference today in Abuja that ''This is a spectacular success story .It shows that Eola can be contained but we must be clear that we have only won a battle,the war will only end when West Africa is also declared free of Ebola.When he made the announcement,officials present broke into applause.More pictures below.                                                                                                                               ...
