  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.            According to PM News,the operatives of Rapid Response Squad,RRS,of the Lagos State Police Command over the weekend arrested three suspected Kidnappers fleeing from Ibadan into Lagos after collecting N3 million ransom.The Kidnappers,Adekunle Funsho {31}, Charles Ezeilo {32} and Obioha Nnaji were apprehended in Abule Egba,Lagos after kidnapping a lady and collecting N3 million ranson.The kidnappers had after collecting the ransom fled to Lagos.The police in Ibadan after discovering that the kidnappers were heading to Lagos with the victim's Toyota Highlander had radioed Lagos for assistance.RRS officials on receiving the radio signal tracked the vegiclee to Fela Shrine in Ikeja,from where the alleged suspects further moved the vehicle to a compound somewhere in Abule Egba,Lagos.It was there tha,the officers arrested a suspect before recovering the Toyota Highlander,2005 model with the registration number LND 95 EE.The first suspect assisted the police in the arrest another

                                Yesterday saturday i watched the African Magic viewers Choice Awards {AMVCA} live from the red carpet moments to the main event which was held at the Eko Hotels & Suits Victoria Island Lagos.No doubt Rita Dominic and others looks stunning but i would have wished she wore something traditional.It is an African Award so actors and actresses should learn to promote their culture more during such awards.Rita Dominic wore one blue native outfits sometime last year {2016} as seen below,that would have been perfect for such African Awards.In 2013 i loved the way she mixed western with Africa by wearing a Kaftan kind of peach-brown dress with a turban.But every other awards they can rock all their outfits but for an African Awards,the ladies in the event did not portray Africa.I believe in 2018 our actors and actresses will wear more of traditional outfits.Am a little bit confused about Helen Pauls pink and silver stud gown,because the gown made her look pre

                     The U.S government,through the Agency for International Development {USAID},announces its continuing support to the education sector in Bauchi state with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding {MOU} by the USAID Mission Director Michael T. Stuart Symington who is on a visit to Sokoto State has encouraged young Nigerians to become agricultural entrepreneurs.He was speaking to students of Sokoto State University on the need to pursue careers in agribusiness noting that agriculture makes up 24% of Nigeria's GDP.                Ambassador Symington sad,''There are jobs to be created and money to be made in the agribusiness industry.It will require technology,innovation,and financing,but  it will also need skilled operators,these students can be among the next generation of agribusiness industry leaders''.He went o to note that Nigeria needs a more diversified economy.He emphasized there were many entry points along the agribusiness value chain including ''owning and operating a farm,running a processing plant,selling irrigation systems or seeds,transporting farm products,and exporting''.The Ambassador discussed how students can take advantage of U.S.

                   The Governor of Plateau State,Simon Lalong has expressed his readiness to collaborate with the Federal Road Safety Corps {FRSC} in the efforts to rid the state of undesirable road safety practices.This was disclosed by the Deputy Governor of the state,Professor Sonni Tyoden who received the Corps Marshal of FRSC,Dr Boboye Oyeyemi on behalf of the Governor at the Government House,Jos during an on advocacy visit by the Corps Marshal.
