 Obosi Development Union Backs Dialect Quiz to Preserve Local Language ‎ ‎  ‎By Chiedu Uche Okoye ‎ ‎The President General of the Obosi Development Union (ODU), Barrister  Chimezie Obi, has expressed his support for the upcoming Obosi dialect quiz competition, aimed at preserving the Obosi dialect of the Igbo language from extinction.  ‎ ‎The event, initiated by Pharm. Obi Egbuonye's "Revive Obosi Dialect Project", is scheduled to take place at the Obosi town hall on Easter Monday, April 6, 2026. ‎ ‎According to Barr. Obi, the competition will promote the Obosi dialect and contribute to the preservation of the Igbo language.                                                             I still can't believe people still attend churches where they will be molested all in the name of deliverance and miracles.Like seriously if i were to be stepped on with those shoes of the pastor,i must scream as if i am possessed because it will be so painful.Well i am not advising anybody not to attend the church,but i believe there should be limit to everything,especially when you are faced with assaults like the one i am seeing in the pictures. I  can't see someone being molested and don't say something.What do you think?.More photos below.                          

MORE THAN 80 BIAFRA MEMBERS WERE ARRESTED YESTERDAY IN BAYELSA STATE.

                      According to sources,yesterday friday,the Nigerian police said they arrested more than 80  members of a Biafra movement during one of their protest in Bayelsa state. 78 men and five women  were detained in a motopark in Yenagoa,the capital of Bayelsa state.Witnesses said other rallies were held in at least four other areas,and one activist said police fired tear gas at thee marchers from Imo state walking to Bayelsa state border,though there was no independent confirmation.The rallies were held for the release of their supposed leader who is in detention.Moree photos below.                                     .

20 PEOPLE WERE RESCUED FROM BOKO HARAM CAMPS,BY THE NIGERIAN ARMY TODAY.

                                       20 people were rescued by the Nigerian Army after they cleared four suspected Boko Haram camps in Borno.Colonel Tukur Gusau,the Media  Coordinator,Operation Lafiya Dole stated this today saturday while briefing journalists in Maiduguri.He said that the rescued persons,including 14 children and 6 women,were held in captivity by the terrorists before they were rescued by the army.He said that the military had already provided medical and other necessary attention to the affected persons.He said the rescuee was part of the continuation of the military offensive to clear the Boko Haram terrorists from the North East.'' A BUNGALOW WAS WASHED AWAY BY RAIN TODAY IN MAGODO LAGOS,KILLING 4 SIBLINGS.

                                  Today  saturday at Magodo area of Lagos,near Ikeja,it was reported that a bungalow collapsed and killed four siblings.The incident occurred around 4:50 am while the siblings were sleeping in the three bedroom bungalow.Spokesperson for Lagos State Emergency Management Agency {LASEMA} Michael Kehinde says a mound side washed down by rain in the early morning rain led to the collapse of the apartment located at No.50 Otun Araromi street,Orisa,Magodo,behind Magodo Phase 1 at about 4:50 am today.He said the collapse buried four children who were later brought out of the ruins dead,while the father of the children,50 years old Godwin Odia from Edo state escaped death as he was out of the house few minutes before the tragedy struck.The names of the siblings were giving as Isayo Odia 23  ,Clinton Odia 13,Da-silver Odia 15,and 10 year old Endurance Odia..Is a pity.

PDP ELECTED GOVERNOR IN TARABA STATE,SACKED TODAY BY TRIBUNAL.

                           Today saturday,the Taraba state governor Darius Ishaku was sacked by the Electoral Tribunal on the ground that he was not validly nominated and sponsored by his party,the PDP {Peoples Democratic Party}.The Tribunal headed by Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar ordered that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress {APC},Hajia Aisha Alhassan,who scored highest votes,be declared the winner of the election.It held that the overwhelming evidence led by the petitioners {APC and Alhassan} represented by Mahmud Magaji {SAN},it was discovered that the PDP did not hold a valid primary as required by the Electoral Act,One more photo below.
