 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                  On tuesday the 21st of July 2016,Khloe Kardashian's divorce from Lamar Odom was finalized almost two years after she filed for divorce.Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have both been nominated for the same Teen Choice Awards.They are both nominated for the ''Selfie Taker'' Awards.While Kylie took to her Instagram to tell every one to vote for her,Kim on the other hand took to twitter to also give thanks for the votes she received.Other people that were on the list before it was narrowed down to just Kim and Kylie is Justin Bieber,One Direction,Nicole Scherzinger and Rihanna.More photos below.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA,TO ARRIVE KENYA TOMORROW FRIDAY.

                  Tomorrow friday,President Barack Obama will land in Kenya with a mission to strengthen U.S security and economic ties,but his personal connection to his father's birth place will dominate a trip that Kenyans view as a native son returning home.Obama is likely to forcus talks in Nairobi on security cooperation.He will also spend private time with his family members but will not travel to the village that is most closely associated with the family name.In a recent interview,Valerie Jarrett,a Senior aide and family friend of the Obama,said in an interview that ''Just as anybody is curious about their heritage,visiting Kenya provides him an opportunity to make that personal connection''.

NUC REJECTS,ANY CERTIFICATE COMING FROM MARYAM ABACHA'S UNIVERSITY IN NIGER REPUBLIC,IN NIGERIA.

              Today thursday,the National Universities Commission {NUC},has warned that degrees obtained from Maryam Abacha's American University of Niger Republic {MAAUN} are sub standard and will not be accepted in Nigeria.The NUC Director of Information and Public Relations,Malam Ibrahim Yakasai,handed down the warning while briefing newsmen today thursday in Abuja.He said the NUC has been inundated with inquiries from some Nigerian students who have been offered admission in MAAUN on part time with a graduation time of four semesters.He listed some of the programmes as Nursing,Medical Laboratory Science,Public Health,among others.He explained further that ''Professional programmes in science,Engineering and Health Sciences,Nursing,Medical Laboratory Science and Public Health are not offered on Part-time basis in Nigeria.More so,their graduation time is far less than the graduation time in Nigeria they admit students with HND on direct entry and they give them two years

             According to a police source,a 52 year old man,Gilbert Maduako,has lost his wife Oluchi and five children after his friend Akwusi Aluwaogu,who allegedly snatched Oluchi and Took away the children claiming that he was their father.The incident happened at Ugwuakwu village in Umuchu in Aguate Local Government in Anambra state,southeast Nigeria.The marriage which produced those children,collapsed after Oluchi and her children moved to Aluwaogu's home who is an indigene of Akokwa town in Imo state and introduced the man to her children as their real father.Sources learnt that both Maduako and Aluwaogu were good friends for years before he married Oluchi.Unknown to Maduako,his friend was secretly dating his wife even though he visited them as s family friend.He later got to know when he returned from work and did not find his wife and children.He started looking for them and later found them at Aluwaogu's house at his village in Akokwa,Imo state.The wife reportedly intr

A BOAT CRASHED,KILLING MORE THAN 20 PEOPLE CELEBRATING A WEDDING ENGAGEMENT IN EGYPT YESTERDAY.

                        According to sources,late yesterday wednesday at least 20 people celebrating an engagement were killed on the Nile north of Cairo when a cargo ship hit their chartered boat.Five of the party were rescued from the river but at least six were still missing early on today thursday.Security sources said the search for them had been hampered by the darkness.The interior ministry said the bodies of four babies had been recovered.Several passengers are still missing.After rescuing five people from the crash scene,the captain of the cargo boat and his deputy was arrested.It is not clear if the couple thought to be celebrating their engagement were among the casualties .More photos below.
