 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud.       According to a facebook user identified as Obiwest Utchaychukwu who shared all this photos 3 hours ago with the caption '' Conductor Set Ablaze By Mob In Lagos After Stabbing A Passenger To Death Because Of N100 Change A boy serving his master (nwa boy) at Ladipo came down from a bus at five-star bustop Oshodi way, asked the conductor for his N100 change, conductor picked a fight with him. According to source, the boy is an igbo boy and has used his strength to beat the conductor blue black. The conductor couldn't take the beating so he decided to use weapon. He grabbed a knife and stabbed the b oy to death. Agbero's including igbo traders there caught the conductor and set him ablaze went after the driver, he parked and ran for his life.       Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on Tuesday launched the much-awaited health insurance scheme of the State Government, saying it was gratifying that the State was now on a journey to achieve affordable, comprehensive and unhindered quality healthcare services for all residents. Speaking at the official launch of the scheme held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Governor Ambode said the decision to come up with the initiative, which had already been backed by law enacted in May 2015 by the State House of Assembly, was inspired by the desire of government to provide access to affordable and quality healthcare services and truly bring about healthy population. He said though the task of providing health insurance for residents of the State was a tough venture, but it was nonetheless historic and heartwarming that the implementation of the policy which started three and half years ago by his administration had eventually culminated in its smooth take off. “I

ANOTHER 3 INTERNET FRAUDSTERS ARRESTED TODAY BY THE EFCC IN ABUJA.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

       The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, has arrested three suspected internet fraudsters, at No 24, 1st Avenue, Fort Royal Estate, Airport road, Abuja. The suspects are; Marvin Nwankwo, Prince Ojenike and Jude Olatekobowale. They created a Facebook account with the following names: Rodney David; David Rodgers and Carlos David, respectively. Their arrest was based on intelligence report that the suspects turned the said residence as their office, using laptops, phone and other gadgets to defraud innocent people, including foreigners, of their hard earned money and other valuables. The intelligence further revealed that the suspects aged between 22 to 30 years, used the proceeds of their crimes to acquire different properties such as cars which include a GLK Mercedes Benz Jeep, a Toyota Corolla, amongst others.       Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State on Monday disclosed that 521 Certificates of Occupancy have been approved for collection under the state government Home Owners Charter programme. Governor Ajimobi said this during the official presentation of the C of O to some beneficiaries of the programme at the event held at the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Survey, secretariat Ibadan. The governor said that the programme was to assist property owners without proper documentation, Survey, Approved Plan and C of O to have a 3 in 1 C of O which is equivalent to the conventional C of O.       The Enugu Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on December 17, 2018 arraigned Ogbonna Victor Chibuzor, a serving member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC before Justice A.M. Liman of the Federal High Court, Enugu on a five-count charge bordering on intent to defraud, and possession of fraudulent documents contrary to Section 6 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Of fences Act 2006 and punishable under Section 1 (3) of the same Act. Ogbanna’s arrest was sequel to series of raids carried out by operatives over the past one week in which several suspected fraudsters in their early 20s, alleged to be engaging in online fraud, were arrested having been found to be living a flamboyant lifestyle not commensurate to the means of livelihood.
