EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

PETROL WOULD SOON BE AVAILABLE-NUPENG.

                         The Naton Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas {NUPENG} Workers on Monday says that petrol would soon be available in filling stations across the country.Mr Tokunbo Korodo,Chairman of of the Union told pressmen that there had been improvement on loading of petroleum at the deports in Lagos.He observed that Nigerians would appreciate the present regime if it could reduce the price of petroleum.The NUPENG Chairman said that the government meant well for all and sundry,in spite of the few greedy that worked to frustrate genine intentions.NAN reports that the Minister of state for petroleum,Dr.Ibe Kachikwu,had earlier said that a price modulation in petrol would begin by January 2016.Kachikwu disclosed this during his inspection of the Port Harcourt Refinery Company {PHRC} on Christmas day.One more photo below.                                         

2 FEMALE SUICIDE BOMBERS,BLEW UP THEMSELVES TODAY IN CAMEROON.

             Today monday,two female suicide bombers blew themselves up in the Far North region of Cameroon while trying to carry out attacks for Islamist militant group Boko Haram but there were no other deaths.Abgassi Adoum Mayor of Makary district of which Bodo is a part said ''The suicide bombing took place at the entrance of Bodo.Two women bombers wanted to get to the market place bbut they were stopped by Vigilantes''.He said one member of the watch committee was lightly wounded.

A PASTOR WAS ARRESTED YESTERDAY IN BENIN,FOR BURYING CHARMS IN HIS CHURCH PREMISES.

                     According to NAN who reported that the police in Benin arrested one Apostle Ikenna Okafor yesterday sunday for alegedly burying charms in his church premises in Benin.NAN reports that the identity of what the suspect buried was unknown even though residents around the church located along Esigie Street,in Benin alleged it was a live animal.The police took away the suspect to avoid being lynched by angry residents who stormed the church.An eyewitness,Mr Chinedu Nnamdi ,said his father woke him up around 2:00 am on Saturday night to watch what the Pastor was doing.According to him,the pastor buried something infrounnt of the church and later performed a little ritual by walking round the church several times.The police Public Relations Officer of the Edo Police Command,DSP Osifo Abiodun,said the suspect was under investigation.The spokesman explained that the suspect has made useful statements that will assist the police in their investigation..

ABOUT 20 PEOPLE WERE KILLED IN A MOSQUE BOMB ATTACK,IN MAIDUGURI TODAY.

                      Today monday morning,about 20 people were killed and 90 wounded by a bomb explosion in a mosque in Maiduguri.There was no immediate claim of responsibility but all fingers are pointing to the Islamist group Boko Haram.Today's blast happened in a western suburb where the army had exchanged fire on sunday with Boko Haram fighters who said had tried to slip into Maiduguri to stage suicide bombings.A witness claimed that after the mosque attack he had counted the bodies of more than 50 victims in the state specialist hospital in Maiduguri.Medics had told him more bodies had been brought to two other hospitals.Ibrahim Goni a resident said ''We all fled yesterday as our houses were on fire.This morning we came back,and while we were counting the people who had burned in the houses,another bomb exploded''.
