                  According to the Nation,a member of the Nigerian Legion,an association for ex-soldiers has been arrested by policemen in Ogun for robbery.Benjamin Okon was arrested at Shagamu for snatching a bajaj motorcycle from one Ibrahim Ginji.The police alleged that the victim,who reported the matter,swiftly identified the suspect in the presence of the police.It was gathered that Okon,who sold the motorcycle for N70,000 haf the money in his possession at the point of arrest.Contacted,the spokesman for Ogun command,Abimbola Oyeyemi,an Assistant Superintendent of Police {ASP} said the suspect was being investigted and would be charged to court.              

             The Chairman of the Special Committee on Clean-Up of Ikoyi,Victoria Island and Lekki,Mr Tunji Bello recently said the progressing exercise has already cleaned up seven major streets in Victorial Island and five in Ikoyi.The Chairman who spoke with newsmen after an unscheduled visit to some of the areas being cleaned-up on Ahmadu Bello Way and Ozumb Mbadiwe said the committee has decided to take the clean-up exercise on the listed streets in batches to ensure sustainability and effectiveness.Mr Bello along with members of the Special Committee including the Sole Administrators of Iru-Victoria Island and Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA,Princess Aderemi Adebowale and Mr Felix Ona-Olawale,officials of the Task Force on Special Offences,members of Victoria Island Residents Association {VIRA} on the inspection,listed the streets already cleaned up in Victoria Island to include Water Corporation Drive,Ahmadu Bello Way,Adetokunbo Ademola,Bishop Aboyade Cole,Ajose Adeogun,Ligali Ayorinde Stree

                   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission today monday October 10,2016,arraigned one Johnson Babatola before Justice Taiwo O. Taiwo of the Federal High Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti,State,on a 7 count charge bordering on Advance fee fraud and operation of illegal Polytechnic.He however pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to him.Babatola,a former Principal Manager of the Central Bank of Nigeria,Ado-Ekiti branch was arrested following a petition from the National Board for Technical Education,Kaduna,alleging that he was operating an illegal Polytechnic named Teedek Polytechnic at Ilogbo,Ekiti State and extorting gullible students who are not aware of the status of the institution.
