 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                                                     British Musician Adele is allegedly planning a five {5} years break from her music career in order to spend quality time with her three year old son with boyfriend Simon Konecki.A source told The Sun that ''She has told her closest pals she will step away from the limelight for five years before she next brings out an album.She's still very new to motherhood and doesn't want to miss out on Angelo growing up.I will be a hard thing for fans to hear''.Adele returned to the spotlight in November with her latest album,25 after taking three years off to forcus on her son.She kicked off her world tour last month,performing a staggering 105 shows across Europe and North America.The tour is expected to conclude in November,at which Adele plans to focus on her family instead of her career.More photos below.

A POLICE CORPORAL,WAS SHOT DEAD YESTERDAY GOOD FRIDAY IN SATELLITE TOWN,LAGOS.

               Yesterday Good friday,a Police corpora attached to Mopol 23 of the Lagos Police Command has been shot dead by unidentified gunmen.Corporal Babatunde was killed in Satellite Town area of the state on Good friday,spokesperson for the command,SP Dolapo Badmos said.Badmos said that the anti-riot policeman was walking on the road when he was shot dead by two gunmen on a motorcycle.She said that contrary to some news making the round,the police man was not killed by suspected armed robbers during a bank robbery operation.''There was no attempted robbery on Diamond Bank on friday.Only a police man walking along the road was shot dead by two men on a motorcycle.The command is investigating the killing to unravel the motive''.One more photo below.

FIRE RAZED DOWN SABON-GARI MARKET IN KANO STATE,EARLY MORNING TODAY.

                          According to sources,today saturday around 12:30am,fire destroyed property worth millions of Naira in Sab gari market,Kano state Nigeria.The fire that destroyed several shops also razed the footwear section of the market.According sources,at few hours ago,men of the Fire Service were still battling to control the fire.Though when the Director of the State Fire Service,Alhaji Mustpha was contacted by some pressmen,he said the fire started at about 1am and had destroyed several shops in the market.According to him,the fire started at the footwear section of the market.''Our men are still trying to put out the fire as i am talking to you now we are in the market''.Sources further said this is the second time in five months that the Sabon Gari market was gutted by fire.One more photo below.

A KENYA COURT SAID IT IS UNLAWFUL TO JAIL 2 MEN,WHO REFUSED TO TAKE THEIR TB MEDICATION.

                 A Keenya court has ruled that the jailing of two men who refused to take their TB medications was unlawful.The two men identified as Daniel Ng'etich and Patrick Kipngetich were sent to prison in 2010 for eight months or until the satisfactory completion of their TB treatment after originally failing to stick to their drug regime.In the precedent setting judgement,judge Mumbi Ngugi said both safeguarding the public from infection and upholding the patient's rights was a tricky balancing act.She added that crowded prisons were the worst places to try and isolate people with infection diseases.                     Suspected suicide bomber arrested in northern Cameroon claims to be one of the 219 Chibok school girls abducted by Boko Haram in 2014.Cameroon authorities caught two girls before they blew themselves up yesterday friday in Limani village,an area that has been a target for Boko Haram suicide bombings.A local government administrator Raymond Roksdo said to pressmen that ''One of them indeed declared that she is one of Chibok hostages.She is around 15.We are now verifying,because on the Nigerian side they have the names and photos of these girls''.This is a twist to the fact that the children are still hostages,but are now used as instruments to their evil acts.More photos below.

           On thursday being Holy thursday,every Catholic church around the world must celebrate the washing of the feet.So Pope Francis visited a refugee center to was and kiss the feet of several refugees,including the feet of some Muslims,Hindus and Copts etc.A gesture of solidarity and peace two days after the Brussels and Paris attacks.The Holy Thursday rite re-enacts the foot-washing ritual that dates back to the story of Jesus Last Super,and is meant as a gesture of humanity and service.More photos below.
