  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. KWANKWASO SUPPORTERS INVOLVED IN FATAL ACCIDENT ON THEIR WAY TO ABUJA.{PHOTOS}.

        Some Kwankwasiyya members who were travelling to Abuja ahead of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso's official declaration on Wednesday, have been involved in a fatal accident. According to reports, the Kwankwaso supporters were on their way to Abuja from Kano state, the senator's area before the tragic incident. Many passengers were injured and some others feared dead in the crash. Meanwhile, other supporters have successfully arrived Abuja for Kwankwaso's presidential declaration on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Former Governor of Kano state, Rabiu Kwankwaso has accused the Federal Government of trying to frustrate his official declaration to run for President earlier slated to hold at the Eagle Square Abuja on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. This was made known in a statement issued by Kwankwaso Campaign Organisation on Tuesday, August 28, 2018.More photos below.

FOOD SELLER CAUGHT WITH A YOUNG GIRL'S HEAD IN A RESTAURANT IN CAMEROON TODAY.{GRAPHIC PHOTOS}.

      The body of a little girl was found in a restaurant located in Eleveur, Yaounde. According to report, the restaurant's manager who sells a plate of food for 750frs with human flesh made people understand that it's actually the mother of the murdered girl who offered her daughter's head in exchange for documents to travel abroad. The two murderers were taken to the police station for further investigation.More photos below.

2019: KWAKWANSO ANNOUNCES NEW DECLARATION VENUE TODAY AFTER HE WAS DENIED FROM USING EAGLE SQUARE.{PHOTO}.

      After being denied usage of the Abuja Eagle Square, former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has announced a new venue for his formal presidential declaration. Kwankwaso’s spokesperson, Binta Sipikin, said the ceremony will now hold at Chida Hotel in Utako, Abuja. The People's Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant was denied use of the Eagle Square a public open facility used for such gathering. Authorities maintaining the facility had, after initially granting him access, denied him usage of the venue; a move believed to be to checkmate the former Kano governor. In a letter signed by Usman Raji, the facility manager of the Abuja International Conference Centre & Eagles Square, the government said the decision to deny him the Eagle Square was to avoid disruption of “work flow” at the federal secretariat, the work place of hundreds of federal civil servants.      Vice President Yemi Osinbajo SAN, has called on institutions like the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to ensure the effective administration of justice for building a society with strong moral values. Prof. Osinbajo said this today during an interactive Q&A session at the 58th Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), with the theme: Transition, Transformation & Sustainable Institutions; held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja. According to the Vice President, beyond government actions, every Nigerian has a responsibility to ensure that there is consequence for wrongdoing. He said, “If you look at the whole question of how to develop a moral society, a society that is driven by values and principles, I think one of the major issues with that is to understand where we are coming from and how to resolve that problem. There is a great deal of moral and institutional decay. I don’t think there is any question at all about that.
