 Noise pollution: Lagos seals five churches, 19 hotels The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has temporarily shut down no fewer than five churches and 19 hotels over noise pollution between March 23 and April 26  Calculations by our correspondent also showed that no fewer than four markets and shopping complexes were also shut down over noise pollution and other environmental infractions. The churches that have been temporarily sealed include St Monica’s Hall of Our Lady of Lord’s Catholic Church, Christ Rock of Fire Ministry, Wonderful Bible Prayer Ministries, God’s Porch Ministries, and an unnamed Catholic Church Some of the hotels affected are School2bar, Blue Seasons Hotel and Suites, Sulerious Lakeside Hotel, Monero Hotel and Suites, and Lekki Hotel and Suites. SEIZURE OF FAYOSE'S ASSETS IS IN ORDER-COURT RULES.

                      Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court,Abuja has ruled that the temporary order of attachment granted in relation to some identified assets of the Ekiti State Governor,Ayo Fayose,is not in violation of Section 308 of the constitution.The judge said the intention of the immunity clause granted to some public office holderd is not to shield them from investigation by security agencies for the purpose of obtaining evidence for future uses.His words: ''It is my considered opinion that the order of court,made on july 20,2016 in respect of some property of the applicant,and within the limited scope and duration within which it was obtained,was duly procured and does not offend the provision of the Constitution referred to,''.Dimgba said.                                                           On tuesday 2nd August 2016,at about 8:30am,troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE with assistance of vigilantes on routine checks,identified and arrested a high profile suspected Boko Haram terrorist,Mohammed Mohammed Zauro at Sabon Gari,Damboa Local Government Area,Borno State.Preliminary investigation shows that the suspected terrorist kingpin was arrested as he was trying to flee to Birnin Kebbi,Kebbi State,from Sambisa forest.The troops recovered a Gionee brand of mobile telephone handset and aa fake SAIE/JIBWIS identification card to perfect his escape and sum of N7,900.00k.Similarly,troops also intercepted another suspected Boko Haram terrorist,Lawal Aboi,along Damboa-Bale road.According to him,he was on his way to voluntarily surrender to the troops in Damboa because he was tired of fighting for no just cause.Both suspects are being further interrogated.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman Acting Director Army Public Relations.More pho

                         Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the FHC,Abuja,granted Agbele bail in the sum of N500 million which will be forfeited to the Federal Government in the event that he absconds.He is to provide two sureties,a civil servant of the rank of a Director,a business man or professional in the sum of N250 million each.The accused is to deposit his travelling documents with the Registrar and must not travel without court's permission.He is to be remanded in prison custody pending fulfilment of his bail conditions.Trial commences October 26 & 27,2016.More photos below.
