Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally. I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.     I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees and everyone watching around the world. I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and my King Richard Family. 75 Alleged Yahoo Boys Arrested in Owerri Operatives of the EFCC have arrested 75 suspected internet fraudsters in separate sting operations in Owerri, Imo State. The Abuja Zonal Command arrested 46 suspects today, March 28, 2022, for alleged involved in computer-related fraud at different locations in Owerri, the Imo State capital. The suspects who are mainly students and job seekers between the ages of 18 to 31 years were apprehended after superior intelligence was received on the nefarious activities of the young men. Upon their arrest 6 cars, various phones and laptops of different makes were recovered from them. Court Orders Final Forfeiture of Diezani’s Lekki Land To FG Justice Akintayo Aluko of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday, March 25, 2022, ordered the final forfeiture of a vacant plot of land situated at Plot 13, Block I, Oniru Chieftaincy Family Private Estate, Lekki, Lagos, belonging to a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke. Justice Babs Kuewuni had, on May 15, 2018, granted an interim forfeiture of the land, following an ex-parte application filed by the EFCC. Listed in the suit numbered FHC/L/ CS/811/2018 as correspondents by the EFCC were Alison-Madueke; a Nigeria lawyer, Donald Chidi Amamgbo; and MEZ Group LLC. Justice Kuewumi had ordered the EFCC to notify any persons in whose possession the properties sought to be forfeited were found to appear before the Court and show cause within 14 days why the properties should not be forfeited to the FG. Popular singer, Habib Okikiola aka Portable, has sacked some of his aides including his manager, dee jay and show promoter. He made this revelation in a video on his Instagram page on Monday. The Zeh singer alleged that they put up attitude, whenever new people want to “mingle” with him.  “Let some other persons enjoy. Let me employ new staff; new DJ, new promoter. Ukraine Estimates $565bn As Cost Of Damage Caused By Russian Invasion The Ukrainian government estimated Monday the economic damages losses from the Russian invasion, which has been underway for just over one month, at nearly $565 billion. Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said on Facebook that the $564.9-billion (515.8-billion-euro) estimate includes immediate damage plus expected losses in trade and economic activity. "It should be noted that every day the numbers change and unfortunately they are increasing," said Svyrydenko, who is also a deputy prime minister. Damage to public and private property -- with Russian forces resorting to fierce bombardments that have levelled some cities as their invasion, which began February 24, has stalled -- was the biggest element. TROOPS SWOOP ON IPOB/ESN HIDEOUT IN ANAMBRA…Recover arms, other dangerous weapons Troops of 82 Division Nigerian Army (NA) conducting clearance operations along Anambra/Imo States border communities today  dislodged a criminal hideout used by the Indigenous People of Biafra  (IPOB) and its armed affiliate; Eastern Security Network ( ESN) in Orsumoghu, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State. The notorious groups have serially launched attacks on defenceless civilians and security targets from the hideout. During the clearance operations along the border communities, troops were met with stiff resistance from the dissident elements, as they closed in on their enclave. Court Remands Suspended Deputy Commissioner Of Police Abba Kyari And Six Others In Correctional Centre. A Federal High Court in Abuja, on Monday ordered the remand of the suspended deputy commissioner of police, Abba Kyari and six others in correctional centre. This is after Justice Emeka Nwite refused to grant him bail. The court held that the NDLEA has placed sufficient evidence before the court enough for it to refuse bail. The NDLEA in its counter affidavits to Mr Kyari’s bail application held that it is inappropriate to grant bail to the applicant because of the facts and circumstances of the case. The applicant is already facing extradition on charges of wire fraud. The 2nd applicant who is an Assistant Superintendent of police is under investigation for money laundering and may face charges on same. Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has convicted and sentenced one Japheth Tallick Friday to two years imprisonment for impersonation contrary to section 22 (2) (b) (i) of the Cybercrimes (Prevention, Prohibition, etc.) Act, 2015 and punishable under section 22 (2) (b) (iv) of the same Act.  He was convicted upon an arraignment by the EFCC, Port Harcourt Zonal Command on March 22, 2022 on one count Charge.

Court Convicts Serial Fraudster for N180million Fraud Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja, has convicted and sentenced Mohammed Sani Zubair to two years imprisonment. Zubair, a serial fraudster was first arraigned on October 8, 2018, on 4-count charges bordering on fraudulent dealings. He was alleged to be a member of a syndicate that specialized in defrauding people. Specifically, he defrauded a retired Army General to the tune of N180.000, 000 (One Hundred and Eighty Million Naira only)  Zubair's journey to the Correctional Centre started when children of one Major General Geoffrey Ejiga (retd) petitioned the EFCC alleging that a syndicate of fraudsters took advantage of their father's old age to defraud him of over N180, 000,000 (One Hundred and Eighty Million Naira only).   The EFCC investigated the matter and found out that Zubair was involved in several other fraudulent dealings.
