 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria. 2 DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES,WERE ARRESTED BY NDLEA WITH COCAINE AT LAGOS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

                  Today tuesday,the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency {NDLEA},said it had apprehended two housewives for trafficking substance suspected to be cocaine.This was contained in a released statement issued by the agency and signed by its spokesperson,Mr Mitchell Oyefujeyi.According to the statement,the two desperate house wives aged 45 and 47,were allegedly found in possession of 2.6 35kg of cocaine at the Murtala Mohammed Intenational Airport {MMIA} Lagos.They were said to be attempting to board a Qatar Airways flight to China.The women packed the cocaine in their underwear and also inserted some in their private parts.The arrest has prevented the housewives from arrest and execution in China few weeks afte the Indonesian Government executed some Nigerians for drug trafficking.The women in their statement said that they were involved in smuggling cocaine because they were abandoned by their husbands.

ABOUT 50 PEOPLE WERE KILLED TODAY,IN A BOMB-BLAST IN MAIDUGURI MEAT MARKET.

                    According to eyewitnesses,a bomblast hit a busy meat market in Nigeria cit of Maiduguri today tuesday,killing as many as 50 people.The bomb was concealed under a butcher's table in the market,went off at around 1pm today afternoon killing shoppers and travelers.Nobody has claimed responsibility for the latest explosion,which follows two bomb attacks over the weekend that killed at least 30 people and bore the hall marks of militant islamist group Boko Haram.Witnesses said further that they heard a loud explosion saying ''It shook our school building and i had to run away.I saw military vehicles with soldiers moving towards the area.

                    Taxi Operators in Lagos state,must now ensure cars used by them for the business have working air conditioners for the comfort of their passengers.This is one of the stipulations in the state Road Traffic Law Regulations for Taxi operator's passed by the State House of Assembly at its valedictory late yesterday monday.Those who argued against some of the stipulations argued that the regulations should be tried one after the other so as to give the operators time to adjust.They also argued that the regulations could be an opportunity for law enforcement agents to rxtort money from the operators.But those in favour of passing the regulations said it would just be right to commence implementation and then carry out a review and possible adjustments later.As approved by the House,every cab operating in Lagos State must now be duly registered in this case,they must obtain operational licenses from the state ministry of transport.The regulation further grants the mini

                            The U.S Supreme Court has ruled in favour of a muslim woman who sued after being denied a job at a clothing store because she showed up to the interview wearing hijab.The clothing compan declined to hire Samantha Elauf  in 2008 as a sales associate because her Hijab violated the company's ''Look policy'',which at the time prohibited employees from wearing head coverings.Samantha Elauf was never informed of the ''Look policy''.Elauf filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on an 8-1 vote yesterday monday,the justice handed a victory to a federal agency that Sued the clothing company Abercromble & Fitch on behalf of job applicant Samantha Elauf.The company argued that it's store policy bans sales employess from wearing ''caps'' of any type and that Elauf,then 17 should have made clear in her 2008 interview that she needed a religious accommodation.A jury eventually awarded Sa
