 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                                                    On saturday June 11,2016 the AMAA {Africa Movie Academy Awards} ceremony,took place at the Obi Wali International Conference Center in Port Harcourt,Rivers State.According to sources,the event was almost marred by poor power supply and unavailability of scripts,fans were elated to see their favourite movies bag awards as Nigerian movies and actors walked home with most awards with other African countries winning few.The event which was hosted by Mike Ezuruonye and Kgopedi Lilokoe.Nollywood's celebrity power couple,Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva,who were honoured with a Life Time Achievement Award were amongst the biggest winners for the night.Their was a lot of eye poping fashion on the red carpet especially Omoni Oboli and RMD,dedicated his Award to all the children born in Warri LOLMore photos below.

A THIRD DAY OF VIOLENCE ERUPTED BETWEEN FOOTBALL FANS IN MARSEILLE.'ENGLAND VS RUSSIA FANS'.{PHOTOS}.

                                              A third day of violence erupted between football fans in Marseille in the build-up to the England-Russia Euro 2016 game on saturday evening,escalating again after the referee blew the final whistle.Russian fans were seen rushing at England fans in the stadium,after a day that hundreds of supporters fought each other on the streets of Marseille,hurling beer bottles and chairs and drawing volleys of tear gas from riot police who struggled to contain the skirmishes in the narrow streets of the old port area.According to Marseille's emergency services,31 people were injured in saturday's violence,including one England supporter who is in a serious condition.More photos below.

                                                    Troops of 3 Battalion,22 Task Force Brigade on friday 10th June 2016,based on information received that Boko Haram terrorists elements earleir dislodged at Chukungudu and Hausari villages during a recent clearance operations,were migrating towards Muska village in Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area,conducted fighting patrol operations in the grneral area.During the encpunter,the troops killed 10 Boko Haram terrorists,captured 2 alive and rescued a woman with her baby that were held hostages by the terrorists.The troops also recovered several equipment,arms and ammunition that include 6 AK-47 rifle magazines,56 rounds of 7.62m {Special} rounds of ammunitions,1 bundle of detonating cord,a Manual on how to prepare Improvised Explosive Devices {IEDs} 2 rifle magazine pounches,a Techno Ipad,a Nokia mobile telephone handset and 1 Gionee mobile telephone handset.Others include 1 Digital Multimetre,6 SIM cards,3 memory cards and 1 Airtel Mod

                                         This so sad how a woman who lost her mother,and two weeks later she was called again ther her husband,her husbands brother and her four children have been burnt to death on 3rd June at Mampong,Asante Region.Rev Isaac Adu Botchey and his younger brother, Jonathan Adu Botchery,as well as their four children namely Eben Adu Botchey,Lovia Adu Botchey,Isaac Adu Botchey, and Princess Adu Botchey,got perish in the fire and the unfortunate incident occurred at dawn when the country was preparing to celebrate one year Anniversary of the biggest national tragedy,in which over 150 persons lost their lives in a twin fire and flood disaster.The widow Madam Lydia Botchey,was not allowed by the family members to venture into the funeral grounds so that she will not set eyes on the 6 coffins and she maybe she might die in the process.The widow escaped the deadly fire because she not around,she was attending a burial service of her late mother.They were just bur
