 Abuja Court Jails Two Internet Fraudsters The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abuja Zonal Command, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 secured the conviction and sentence of two internet fraudsters to various jail terms. The convicts, Adeleye Olanrewaju and Ayo Olaosebiomo were convicted by Justice I. Mohammed of the Federal Capital Territory,  FCT,  High Court Gwagwalada on a one- count charge each. The lone- count charge against Olanrewaju  reads: ‘that you Adeleye Olanrewaju sometime in 2024 within the jurisdiction of this Honourable court committed the offence of cheating by personation when you pretended to be one Lolita Gonzale293 female American citizen when you created a fake Instagram account for love scam and benefitted the sum of $460 (Four Hundred and Sixty United States Dollars) from your victim John Alonzo and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 321 and punishable under Section 324 of the Penal Code Act, Laws of the Federation, 2004”.   They both

3 DEAD AS UNKNOWN MEN THREW GRENADES INTO A CROWD IN CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC.

                   It was reported today that at least two people were killed late yesterday wednesday after men on motorbikes threw grenades into a crowd that was gathered in three different places in southern Bangui in Central African Republic.The U.N mission said in a statement late on wednesday that ''MINUSCA strongly condemns these odious and cowardly acts that killed two people and injured numerous others''.An aid official with medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres said at least 20 people were wounded.A relative of one of the victims said one wonded person had since died,bringing the death toll to three.

                      Today thursday,the acting Director of Army Public Relations,Col.Sani Usman,confirmed the news of the release through a telephone conversation to pressmen,and he said the screening of the detained suspects conducted jointly by intelligence officers from the Army and other sister agencies,would be continuous and carried out simultaneously with the offensive operation.''I can tell you that more persons will be released,but contrary to views in some quarters,the release of detained suspects is not the exclusive prerogative of the Aemy alone.So it is not for anyone to begun to insinuate that the Army alone determines who is to regain freedom or not.What happens is that as the intelligence officers identify innocent persons,they hand them over to the affected state governments for rehabilitation and reintegration''.He further said that the Army in collaboration with other security agencies would continue to follow the rules of engagement in the operation

2015 NECO RESULTS WAS RELEASED TODAY,STUDENTS GO & CHECK YOUR RESULTS.

              The NECO Registrar,Prof.Abdulrashid Garba,who made the announcement today thursday in Minna said that 16 percent in credits English and Mathrmatics,68.56 percent of candidates got more than five credits this year.He said that the 2015 result was an improvement from 2014 when 52.29 got above five credits.Garba said that 969,491 sat for the examination out of the 969,991 candidates that registered.o.11 percent cases of malpractice were recorded,adding that the results of candidates involved have been cancelled.The registrar said that the council was able to sustain its timely release of results in less than 60 days from the date the last paper was written.''The 2015 examinations result was released within 60 days after the final paper.This shows a great success achieved by the council.Lists of schools which were in examination malpractice have been blacklisted and the results of students who wrote in such centres have been cancelled''.The students can access

              According to sources,late yesterday night,EFCC {Economic and Financiak Crimes Commission} arrested the Group Managing Director of BGL PLC,51 year old Mr Albert Okumagba,the company is into financial services and he was arrested for offences relating to stealing and obtaining money by false pretences.Albert Okumagba who hails from Delta state,was picked up late yesterday night.His arrest was triggered by investigation into a petition submitted to the anti graft agency by the Security and Exchange Commission {SEC},in May 2015.Albert was alleged to have diverted the sum of N28.6 billion being proceeds of private placements of 4.3 billion ordinary shares of 50k each at N7.00k per share in 2007.The company whose subsidiaries include BGL Capital,BGL Private Equity,BGL Security and BGL Asset Management,allegedly lured 50 investors from across the country into subscribing   to the country's shares,promising them options o liquidity and exit within two years.The liquidity and
