 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

THE OWNER OF THE PARK IN ZIMBABWE,WHERE CECIL THE LION WAS KILLED,WAS ARRESTED.

               The owner of the Hwange National game park Honest Dlovu,where Cecil the Lion was killed,his being accused of letting an American tourist/Dentist  Walter Palmer to illegally hunt and kill a lion on his property in Zimbabwe with a bow and arrow.The owner of the park was charged but released on bail in Hwange.The killing of Cecil,a 13 year old rare blacked maned lion and a popular tourist attraction,caused global consternation and triggered a major backlash against Africa's multi-million dollar hunting industry.From the copy of the charge sheet,Honest Dlovu was charged with permitting ''A person who is not ordinarily resident in Zimbabwe to hunt the said animal which was not on the hunting quota''.One more photo below.

THE LEG OF A LAWMA WORKER FUNKE WAS AMPUTATED,AFTER A BUS DRIVER CHINEDU KNOCKED HER DOWN AT IGANDO.

                  38 year old Obi Chinedu a public bus driver,has been arrested and charged before Ejigbo Magistrate for allegedly knocking down a staff of Lagos State Waste Management Authority,LAWMA,which led to the amputation of her leg in a hospital in Lagos state.The incident happened at Cele bus stop along Isheri-Igando expressway where the victim Mrs Funke Olorunda was on official duty.She was rushed to Igando General Hospital where she was referred to the National Orthopedic Hospital in Igobi Lagos.Due to the seriousness of the injury she sustained,her left leg was amputated to save her life.She is now walking with one leg with the aid of a walking stick.The bus driver was arrested and detained at the police station in Idimu Division before he was charged to court with driving in a dangerous manner and knocking down Funke which caused amputation of her leg.Chinedu,through his counsel,informed the court about his regrets concerning the accident and expressed his willingness to s

LAGOS STATE,RANKED AMONG THE WORST CITIES IN THE WORLD.?

                      The ranking was conducted by the Economic Intelligence Unit {EIU} for 2015.Lagos was considered the forth least liveable city in the world on the list of 140.The survey took account of cities,healthcare,education,safety,culture,environment and infrastructure.The EIU report states that ''Those that scores best tend to be mid-sized cities in wealthier countries with a relatively low population density.These can foster a range of recreational activities without leading to high crime levels or overburdened infrastructure''.Syrian city of Damascus,which has been ravaged by the country's civil war,was last on the list of 140 major cites.Melbourne was named the best city in the world to live in for the fifth year in the row while Vienna in Austria came second followed by the Canada cities of Vancouver and Toronto,and Australia's Adelaide.Melbourne again achieved a near perfect score of 97.5 out of a possible 100.Vienna recorded an impressive 97.4,

A PAKISTAN WOMAN,WAS JUST FREED BY THE POLICE AFTER HER HUSBAND SOLD HER INTO SLAVERY.

                        According to sources,a woman from Chiniot in the Punjab region of Pakistan,was sold for just 312 euro and forced to work for an unknown buyer or a month before she was rescued.The woman whom was sold by her own husband was found chained to a bed and being forced to work under terrible conditions.She has been beaten severely by the buyer and she had suffered serious wounds and injuries on the knees of both of her legs.A local Journalist discovered these modern day slavery and reported her condition to the police before he escorted the police to her location.When the police got to her location,they freed her from the bed chain but took her to their police station to remove the remaining chains all over her body.The man that is responsible for enslaving her,has not yet been found as of the time of filing these report.The woman's husband was very poor that was why he decided to sell his own wife to make extral money.One more photo below.
