 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country.                                                            The wife of the Vice President of Nigeria,Hajia Amina Sambo has disclosed these information at a ceremony organised in her honour by the coalition of Nigerian Muslim Women at the National Mosque in Abuja today,that she will be furthering her education at the end of her husband's tenure on May 29th.While  addressing the women,Hajia Sambo said ''I will like to continue to leave my doors open in case you will call on me.In case i say i am having exam,so do not be offended,i might be studying but be assured that i will always be with you''.

                     The World Health Organization says Liberia is now free of Ebola virus after going through a 42 days without any new cases.Ebola claimed more than 4,700 lives in Liberia more than any other country.It's neighboring countries Sierra Leone and Guinea continue to fight the outbreak.At the height of the crisis in September,Liberia was dealing with more than 400 new cases a week,forcing the country into a state of emergency.W.H.O officials warned that there was a high risk that infected people may cross into Liberia over the region's exceptionaly porous borders and asked people to be careful until the rest of the affected countries are free.Mararetesa Caccia Puoti,MSF's head of mission in Liberia said ''We can't take our food off the  gas until all three countries record 42 days without no cases''.One more picture below.                        

THE CHAOS IN BURUNDI,DID NOT STOP PRESIDENT PIERRE NKURUNZIZA FROM REGISTERING FOR A THIRD TERM.

                    Yesterday friday,Burundi's president registered for a third term in office.Hundreds of demostrators clashed with  police in the Nyakabiga district of Bujumbura on friday evening,saying Pierre Nkurunziza's plan to run again violates the constitution and a peace deal that ended an ethnically changed civil war in 2005.Protesters earlier blocked roads and hurled stones at police,who fired teargas and water cannon to disperse crowds.Protesters say police have used live rounds but police deny shooting.Burundi's constitutional court ruled this week that Nkuruziza could stand,saying his first term did not count because he was picked by parliament rather than elected by the people.Opponents say the count is biased and have vowed to keep protesting until he withdraws from the race.They have called for the election to be delayed due to the unrest.If you ask me,Pierre Nkurunziza should not run after all it is the people that...

ECO BANK,WAS ORDERED BY THE INDUSTRIAL COURT IN ABUJA,TO PAY AN EX-STAFF N8.5 FOR WRONGFUL DISMISSAL.

                                                     Yesterday friday,the National Industrial court in Abuja ordered Eco Bank PLC to pay one Mr Uche Abrah,the Sum of N8.5 million as his cumulative salary arrears and gravity from 2006-2014.The court made the order after considering evidences in a case of wrongful dismissal instituted by Abrah against the bank.The Judge,Justice Peter Lifu,in his verdict declared that the claimants dismissal from the employment was wrongful and illegal.He however said that the claimant shall be paid three months salary in lieu of notice as dated in the defendant's termination of employment policy.The Judge said that the claimant should be paid his gratuity from the period of his engagement by the defendant,commencing from Aug 2006 to Jan 4,2014 and also salaries from the period of indefinite suspension.He further ordered th...
