  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.                         Governor Willie Obiano,has procured three special firefighting trucks with 10,000 litres water storage capacity for the State Fire Service.The Police and the Federal Road Safety Corps also received smart bikes and patrol cars to accompany and support firefighters during emergencies.The procurement is in lin with Governor's pledge to take proactive measures against fire disasters across the state,following a fire incident in February where property worth millions of Naira were destroyed in Onitsha.Governor Obiano formerly handed over the equipment to the Southeast Zonal Officer of the Federal Fire Service at tthe Governor's Lodge in Awka,the Anambra State capital.He said the fire equipment would be deployed to the commercial cities of the three senatorial zones which include Awka,Onitsha and Nnewi.The Governor,however,tasked the people of the state to insure their property,saying it is not only responsibility of the government to ensure their property are

                                          Easter is now associated with the pink bunny,pink egg etc.So i decided to wear a black and light pink sequence dress for Easter.Funny enough alot of people wore different shades of pink outfits including some men I saw them wearing pink bowl ties.I carried a black purse,hat and shoe,then I wore the same colour of necklace to match my dress.I really love fashion and i believe other fashionistas out there will agree with me that fashion is not a days job,you should love and enjoy every bit of it.More photos below.

NIGERIA WINS THE RIGHT TODAY,TO HOST THE 61ST MEETING OF AFRICAN TOURISM MINISTERS IN 2018.

                  Nigeria today wednesday won the right to host in 2018,the 61st meeting of African Ministers in charge of Tourism,tagged the UN World Tourism Organisation {WTO} Commission for Africa {CAF}.Nigeria won the hosting right by acclamation following the presentation of a five minute video,entitled ''Simply Nigeria'',to delegates at the ongoing 59th edition of the UNWT CAF Meeting in Addis Ababa,Ethiopia,by the Minister of Information and Culture,Alhaji Lai Mohammed.The compelling video,which highlighted Nigeria's rich cultural heritage and tourism destinations,was greeted by a prolonged applause.Responding,the Chairman of UNWTO Commission for Africa and Zimbabwean Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry,Dr Walter Nzembi,said: ''Procedurally,when a member state offers its destination for the host of the next CAF,we all put that request to a test,do I take the applause of the Minister's presentation to mean your approval of Nigeria as next

PRESIDENT BUHARI SUSPENDS D.G OF NIA TODAY OVER THE MONEY FOUND IN IKOYI RECENTLY.{PHOTOS}.

               President Muhammadu Buhari ha suspended the Director General,Nigeria Intelligence Agency,NIA,Ambassador Ayo Oke.His suspension is sequel to his involvement in the humongous find of foreign currencies and naira notes to the tune of $43.4million,27,800 pounds and N23.2 million at in a residential building in the 7th Floor of a four-bedroom apartment at Osborne Towerss located at 16,Osborne road Ikoyi,Lagos.A three man Committee comprising the Hon. Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice,and the National Security Adviser,headed by the Vice President,is to conduct investigations into the level of his involvement in the cash haul.The Committee is to submit its report to the President within 14 days.The President directed that the most senior officer in the NIA is to act during the period of investigation.More photos below.

                The Anambra State Police Command on sunday arrested a man susspected to be a security guard with the Nnewi Diocese of the Anglican Church,for being in possession of human parts.Speaking on the arrest,the Commissioner of Police in the state,Mr Sam Okaula,who declined to give the suspect's name,says he is a cannibal.''He is with us.Some human parts were found in his possession; and I think he is just a cannibal,said Okaula,before adding that there was no concrete evidence the suspect was trading in the parts.The Anglican Church has moved to disown the security guard,with the Venerable Godwin Agba,the administrative secretary of the Diocese of Nnewi Angican Communion,claiming the suspect was never their employee.A top security source who spoke to some pressmen said the bubble bust for the suspect when dogs on a hunting expedition sniffed out the alleged human parts at Ukunu Eziora Ozubulu community in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of the state.''An eye

                     Despite the failing health system in Nigeria,a hospital in Anambra has proven to be in a class of its own after it recorded another success in open heart surgery.It was gathered that the Dr Joe Nwilo heart center at the Saint Joseph's hospital in Adazi Nnukwu,Anaocha local government area of Anambra state,recently conducted an open heart surgery on a 6-year old boy.The little boy identified as Solomon Chinweuba,had been diagnosed with heart problems,and was operated on by a team of both Indian and Nigerian heart surgeons at the hospital.Solomon's mother identified as Mrs Dephine Joseph,said they were sent to the heart center from Lagos State University Teaching Hospital {LUTH}.She also proceeded to shower praises on the Anambra state government who she says paid the bill for the surgery,asking God to also protect Governor Willie Obiano.The state commissioner for health,Dr Josephat Akabuike,addressed newsmen after the surgery,stating that the government woul
