  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”.  SEMA Donates Relief Materials to Ogbaru Flood Victims

Recently, the Acting Mayor of Ogbaru Local Government, Mr. Kenneth Akwuobi distributed donated items from State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to the flood victims. The items were shared among the 16 communities in Ogbaru LGA of Anambra State.


While addressing the victims which were  represented by the Legislative Councillors, Akwuobi showed his gratitude to God because no death was recorded. He uses the opportunity to thank the Governor of Anambra State Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for the good job he is doing in Anambra State, especially in Ogbaru.According to him, Soludo' s administration has turned Okpoko Community from dungeon to New heaven.


He also appreciated SEMA/ NEMA for supporting flood victims in Ogbaru and other communities in Anambra State.


In an interview, a flood victim Mrs Nneka Obi expressed gratitude to the Acting Mayor of Ogbaru for making sure that the items were given to the poor masses in the communities. She also thanked  the wife of the state governor, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo for her immense support during the flood disaster.


Mrs Obi  added that Soludo's administration is always available to provide a "Solution" to "Ndi Anambra".


The highlight of the event was the donation of one big Cow to Ogbaru flood victims by the State Government.
