 Onigbongbo LCDA Chairman, Dotun Olakanle Dies The Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area, Oladotun Olakanle is dead. The Chairman reportedly died early Saturday, 2 November, 2024. Circumstances surrounding his death are still sketchy as at press time. His administration distributed vehicles to police formations in his council area on Friday, 1 November, 2024. Reports also stated that he was at the burial party for the late All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Dr Adesola Taiwo, Chief Executive Officer of Adefemi Taiwo Hospitals on Thursday, 31 October, 2024. This would be the second time sitting Council Chairman in Onigbongbo LCDA would die in office during their second term. Olakanle’s predecessor, Babatunde Oke, also died in office deep into his second term.

 Witnesses say neighbors dogs began to eat elderly Louisiana woman after she fell in her driveway.  On Tuesday, October 29th, an elderly woman (name withheld) fell down in her driveway in Livingston Parish, Louisiana. As she attempted to stand up, she was attacked by her neighbor's dogs. A witness who called 911 is quoted as saying, "Ya'll need to hurry up, they are eating this woman." Shockingly the 85-year old neighbor who made the call has also been bitten by the same dogs on two separate occasions. Both times required trips to the hospital. Another neighbor described the injuries by saying, "she was torn up pretty good around her calf, her right leg was bit, her arm was bit and the dog bit her on the back of her neck."  Update- Indiana woman who sat on her 10-year-old foster son until he died, pleads guilty. She is facing a mere 6 years in prison. More details emerge.  We covered this story at the time of the incident. At that time 49-year-old  Jennifer Wilson was arrested and charged in the homicide of 10-year-old Dakota Steven's. Jennifer is reportedly 340 lbs. She laid on top of her 90 pound foster son until he passed away.  The Porter County Sheriff's department was called to the home of Jennifer Lee Wilson on April 25th, 2024. Once on scene, they discovered Dakota unresponsive and on the ground near the driveway. There was an individual attempting CPR and responding officers took over awaiting EMS.  Dakota was transferred to the hospital where he passed away two days later. An autopsy listed his death as a homicide. Dakota's death had occurred by severe swelling in the brain and deprivation of oxygen for an extended period.  From Garrard County (Kentucky) Sheriff's Department  🚨Animal T*rture Arrest🚨 Lancaster, Ky (October 29th, 2024) - The Garrard County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Bluegrass 911 at 2:00pm regarding an animal that had it's life purposefully taken by Haigan Penman (28), Lancaster.  Upon arrival it was determined the Penman, used a plastic bag and a strap to strangle a dog until it passed away.  Penman then discarded the dog into a nearby ditch.  Penman was charged with one count each of Cruelty to Animals 2nd degree and Torture of a Dog. He was lodged in the Jessamine Co Detention Center.

 South Carolina man arrested after taking the life of a woman and injuring a man walking on a trail. He stated he thought she was a deer. 54-year-old Lori Wind was walking on a paved trail at the Sawmill Branch Walking Trail in Summerville, S.C. at around 8:15 p.m., Tuesday, October 29th. As Lori and her husband made their way along the trail they were struck by gunfire. Both Lori and her husband were struck by shots fired from a 20 gauge shotgun. Both were rushed to a nearby hospital where sadly Lori passed away as a result of her injuries. There has been no updates report on her husband's condition or the extent of his injuries. While investigating the shooting, deputies discovered the firearm believed to be used in the shooting. Eventually a confidential source would lead them to the door of 20-year-old Kristofer McDonald who surrendered without incident. According to court documents, McDonald, who was illegally hunting after dark, heard the sounds of leaves and branches moving.

Indonesia has imposed a ban on Google Pixel smartphone sales, citing Google’s failure to meet local manufacturing requirements.  The Indonesian Ministry of Industry announced that Google must comply with the rule requiring at least 40% of the phone’s content to be sourced locally. Ministry spokesperson Febri Hendri Antoni Arief confirmed that Google will not be able to sell its smartphones in Indonesia until it obtains the necessary local content certification. Explaining the decision to local media, Arief emphasized the intent behind the policy, saying it aims to create a level playing field for all investors while also supporting Indonesia’s domestic industry. The requirement for local content is part of Indonesia’s broader push to attract tech companies to establish manufacturing facilities in the country, thus creating more jobs and boosting economic growth. Anish Sarkar’s remarkable achievement reflects a deep fascination with the strategic nuances of chess, setting him on a journey that few could imagine. Suddenly she saw the accused, entering the bedroom in armed with a knife.  Petrol: We want right conditions from Dangote – IPMAN The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) is insisting on the creation of ‘right conditions’ by Dangote Refinery for its members to do business with it. President  of the Dangote Group,Alhaji Aliko Dangote said on Tuesday that his refinery currently has over 500 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) available for sale to end fuel importation. Members of IPMAN are not convinced that the management of the refinery has done enough to carry stakeholders along in its fuel supply strategy.  177 organ harvesters, ritual killers arrested in Ebonyi The Ebonyi State Police Command announced the arrest of 177 suspects for various crimes in October 2024, including four linked to alleged organ harvesting and ritual killings. At a news conference in Abakaliki on Friday, the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu, disclosed the arrests, which included 162 males and 15 females. Ninety-two suspects have been charged to court, with others pending further investigation.
