Ugo Ugochuckwu, the Nigerian-American racing driver, has won the 2024 FIA FR World Cup. 17-year-old Ugo Ugochukwu is the winner of the Macau Grand Prix. He is the son of Nigerian supermodel, Oluchi Onweagba-Orlandi. The 17-year-old won the crown at the 71st Macau Grand Prix on Sunday. Ugochukwu was born in New York to Oluchi, a Nigerian fashion model mother, and Luca Orlandi, an Italian fashion designer. He represents the US in car racing. With the victory in Macau, Ugochukwu became the first American driver to win the prestigious event in over 40 years. Ugochukwu led the race from start to finish for R-ace GP, ahead of Olivier Goethe for MP Motorsport and Noel León for KCMG IXO by Pinnacle Motorsport. The Nigerian-American will compete in FIA Formula 3 — the third-tier world racing championship — in 2025. Russian ballet dancer Vladimir Shklyarov, outspoken critic of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, falls 60 feet to his death A Russian ballet dancer who was an outspoken critic of Russia’s war in Ukraine has mysteriously plunged to his death from the fifth floor of a building. Vladimir Shklyarov, a married father of two, plummeted around 60 feet to the ground from a building on Saturday, a spokesperson for the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, where the 39-year-old was the highest-ranking dancer, told Fontanka. Russian authorities initially labeled the fall an accident, blaming the painkillers he was taking before a complex spinal surgery. 'How I miraculously escaped from Abuja kidnappers' In a frightening encounter that highlights the growing insecurity in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Hajiya Rahmatu Sani, a director at the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), shared her disturbing experience of being kidnapped on Friday, October 21. The incident occurred some minutes after 7 a.m. as she was driving to work, shortly after leaving Esteem Boys’ College in the Lokogoma area of Abuja. New York horror: 14-year-old girl leaps to her death from luxury SoHo apartment building A girl, 14, leaped to her death from a luxury SoHoapartment building on Sunday, November 17, cops have said. The incident took place at about 7:20 am. An NYPD spokesperson said that following the tragedy, police were notified of an unconscious girl at 101 Wooster Street, New York Post reported. The victim could not be saved and was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene. Law enforcement sources said the girl lived with her family on the third and fourth floors of the building. The units reportedly sell for upwards of $5 million. The incident is under investigation, cops confirmed.
