I Will Leave Office A Free Man, Without Fear Of EFCC —Hope Uzodinma Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has boasted that he will leave office as a free man, unafraid of being pursued by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, or any other organization.   Speaking after the Feast of Christ the King Mass at the Government House Chapel in Owerri, Uzodimma challenged anyone with evidence of wrongdoing to present it.   “I will leave office a free man, sleep with my two eyes closed without being afraid of anybody, including the EFCC”, he said.   The governor maintained that he has not broken any promises made to the people of Imo.   He expressed assurance in the legacy of prosperity, infrastructure, and dignity that his administration is establishing for the state.   This statement follows the EFCC’s arrest of former Delta State governor Ifeanyi Okowa over allegations of misappropriating funds totaling N1.3 trillion.

US Senator Lindsey Graham Threatens Sanctions on Allies Enforcing ICC Warrants for Netanyahu

US Senator Lindsey Graham has warned that he will impose sanctions on allied countries, including Canada, Britain, Germany, and France, if they attempt to enforce the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The warrants were issued in relation to alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

In an interview with Fox News on Friday, Graham stated, "To any ally—Canada, Britain, Germany, France—if you try to help the ICC, we’re going to sanction you." He emphasized that any nation supporting the ICC's efforts to arrest Netanyahu and Gallant would face sanctions, adding, "You’re gonna have to pick the rogue ICC versus America."

Graham's comments reflect the US government's opposition to the ICC's actions, which follow Israel’s military offensive in Gaza in response to a Hamas attack in October. The conflict has caused significant casualties, drawing widespread international condemnation.
