 Peter Obi To Pay Dele Farotimi’s ₦30 Million Bail Fee Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has said he would meet the bail conditions of human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi.Dele Farotimi was granted bail in his alleged defamation case against Afe Babalola by Ekiti Magistrate Court on Friday. The bail conditions include ₦30 million bond, 2 sureties (one shall be a house owner), submit his passport and shall not grant any media interview. Peter Obi‘s decision to meet Farotimi’s bail condition was communicated by former spokesman of his presidential campaign organization, in 2023, Tanko Yunusa. Yunusa disclosed this in a brief statement on his X handle, on Friday.  SECURITY IN ANAMBRA: A BOY ALLEGEDLY ABDUCTED IN ONITSHA FOUND IN KOGI STATE


_As the Command seeks assistance to disseminate information for possible identification and unification with his Family_


The Anambra State Police Command has called on the general public, particularly residents of Onitsha and Ihiala environs, to assist with the identification of one Mr Chibuike Damian Onyebuchi (M) aged 15 years.  The said boy who hails from Ihiala LGA, Anambra State was abducted in Onitsha but was found recently in Kogi State. He is currently in the Safe Custody of the Kogi State Police Command.


During an interview with Damian by the Police Operatives, he alleged that he was abducted in Onitsha by unidentified persons and taken to an unknown place before his escape. 


To this end, the Command seeks the assistance of the public, especially members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm, to help disseminate widely alongside with the attached picture for possible identification and reunification with his family.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
