 Katsina woman rewarded with N500,000 for display of honesty A woman identified as Malama Amina Abdulkadir-Yanmaman has been rewarded with N500,000 and certificate of commendation for returning N748,320 wrongly credited to her account to the coffers of Katsina state government. Abdulkadir-Yanmaman was wrongly credited with N748,320 meant for the Federal Government’s Home Grown School feeding programme in the state, according to Executive Director, Katsina State Social Investment Programme Agency (KASIPA), Dr Mudassir Nasir.  Newlyweds and 16 others injured in accident on 3rd mainland bridge A newlywed couple returning to the mainland from the Ikoyi Marriage Registry were amongst the 18 persons involved in a ghastly accident that occured on the Third Mainland Bridge, near Ilaje, heading towards Iyana Oworonsoki today December 7.  The accident, which involved a mini truck (AGL 22 YE) and a commercial LT bus (BFG 204 XF), was attributed to a brake failure on the LT bus, which was traveling at excessive speed. The bus collided with the mini truck, which was moving slowly due to mechanical difficulties.  A man in Madhya Pradesh’s Barwani district allegedly killed his wife after a dispute over dinner not being ready on time. The victim, 39-year-old Barlibai Kharate, was a resident of Ghawalfalia Verwada. The accused, her husband Rumalia, reportedly beat her to death with a stick during a heated argument on Tuesday evening. According to the police, the argument escalated when Rumalia attacked his wife using a stick found in the house. Despite her cries for help, he continued to assault her, leading to her death on the spot. After the incident, the accused attempted to cover up the crime by washing the blood from her body and claiming it was an accident. The incident came to light when the couple’s son, Nilesh Kharate, returned home around 11 PM and discovered his mother’s lifeless body. A patrol team attached to the ‘C’ Divisional Police Headquarters, during a raid in the Sabon Layi area, arrested one Suleiman Adamu 'm', aged 40 (aka Baba Mai Ruwa), of Sabon Layi.  During the operation, they recovered a locally-made revolver, eight rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, and three expended ammunition of the same calibre.  In a shocking turn of events, the Delhi Police have revealed that the gruesome murders of a couple and their daughter in South Delhi’s Neb Sarai area were committed by their son, Arjun Tanwar. The victims, identified as Rajesh (55), his wife Komal (47), and their daughter (23), were found stabbed to death in their home early Wednesday morning. Initially, Arjun claimed he had been out on his routine morning walk around 5 A.M. and returned to discover his family’s lifeless bodies. However, during police questioning, his story began to unravel, leading to his confession.
