 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. A WARRANT FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE RECENT FORMER MARION COUNTY CORONER. (PHOTO).

 A warrant for contempt of court has been issued for the recent former Marion County Coroner. 


Troy Cannon has been held in contempt of court after failing to show up to a civil court case on multiple occasions. He has missed half of all of the required appearances before the judge and the other party in the civil case. The warrant carries a $500.00 bond without a 10% provision. The warrant was handed down firmly by Judge Kelly.


Yesterday, Judge Kelly stated that he will put out a body attachment warrant each time Troy Cannon does not appear before him in court.


This is the sixth time the former coroner has been on the news. Most recently, he was in the news for forging a funeral director's name on an official document. The other four times were while he was the acting coroner and they were for a wide variety of instances. Cannon has made the news for misappropriating Marion County funds as well as St. Louis news stations sharing incendiary comments he made about people that had a different religious belief than he had.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
