Nwifuru, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr Monday Uzor, and made available to newsmen, issued the directive on Sunday during the Elders and Widows’ Party, organised by the state government at the Christian Ecumenical Centre, Abakaliki. The governor expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in paying salaries and pensions to local government staff, describing the situation as worrisome.
