Johannesburg family devastated after funeral parlour cremation mix-up According to MDN News, a Johannesburg family has been left heartbroken after discovering that their mother’s body was mistakenly cremated by B3 Funeral Parlour. The grieving Thekiso family visited the funeral parlour to collect their loved one’s remains, only to be informed that her body had been erroneously cremated. B3 Funeral Parlour has acknowledged the mistake and offered compensation to the family. Executive head Isaac Mamotsau issued an apology, explaining that an internal investigation revealed the error occurred due to a mix-up with identification tags. “Our investigations revealed the greatest mistake, an error. We apologise for what occurred,” said Mamotsau. He explained that during preparations, morticians removed the tags from the bodies, leaving them in the cold room.
