Ekiti Airport to Welcome Private Jets from January 2025 – Governor Oyebanji
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has announced that the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport will officially open for private jet landings starting in January 2025. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has granted approval for non-scheduled flight operations, which began on December 13, 2024, and will continue until June 15, 2025.
During a visit to elder statesman Chief Afe Babalola, Oyebanji expressed gratitude for his significant support in the airport’s development. The governor also revealed plans to seek further assistance from Babalola to secure full commercial flight operations at the airport. The move is seen as a major step in enhancing Ekiti’s transportation infrastructure and boosting economic opportunities for the state.
