 Opposition Criticizes Bauchi Governor, Lawmakers Over N3.4 Billion Budget for Fuel and Travels The People’s Redemption Party (PRP) in Bauchi State has condemned Governor Bala Mohammed and state lawmakers for allocating over N3.4 billion for fuel and travel expenses in the 2025 budget.   In a statement on Friday, PRP spokesperson Wada Abdullahi accused the government of prioritizing personal luxuries over pressing needs. He highlighted the N1 billion budgeted for fueling vehicles and generators at the Government House, with N500 million each for vehicles and generators.   “This extravagance underscores the mismanagement of state resources.  2025: Governor Yusuf Vows To Take Infrastructure To Rural Communities

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano has expressed enthusiasm for the 2025, highlighting his administration’s commitment to executing life-changing infrastructure in rural communities.


This was contained in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, in Kano on Wednesday.


The governor commended the resilience and patience of Kano State residents in navigating the challenges of 2024.


Yusuf reassured them of his unwavering commitment to delivering meaningful progress and development in 2025.


The governor highlighted his administration’s significant efforts in ensuring the timely approval of the 2025 budget, which totals ₦719 billion.


This budget is expected to accelerate development across the state with a focus on infrastructure, healthcare, education and agriculture.


Mr Yusuf urged the people of Kano to remain united and supportive of the government’s vision for progress, expressing optimism that 2025 would be a transformative year for the state. (NAN)
