 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. LAGOS ANNOUNCES DATE FOR SCREENING TEST INTO PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS YESTERDAY.

    Lagos State Government has announced that the screening test for students seeking transfer to public secondary schools will hold on Monday, 27th August, 2018.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mrs. Adebunmi Adekanye who made this known recently, said that interested applicants should obtain a clearance slip from the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary's Office for the school of choice in other to make the process a lot easier.
In her words, “Applicants should contact the District of choice for clearance before payment. Forms can be obtained and returned to the office of the Tutor- General/Permanent Secretary of the Education District of the applicant's choice for a non-refundable fee of Five Thousand Naira (N5,000), payable at any Skye Bank Branch - Account No: 4030010449, Agency Code: 4280000 and Sort Code: 32534/4040043”.She stated that the payment and collection of forms will commence on Friday, 20th July, 2018 while submission will close on Friday, 17th August, 2018.
"Applicants for transfer into J.S.S 2 class are to attach 2nd and 3rd term promotion examination results of J.S.S 1 class and those seeking transfer into S.S1 will attach their Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) Number", she added.
The Permanent Secretary requested all applicants to attach evidence of three years tax payment of their parent or guardian, photocopy of LASRRA Identity Card and receipt for the application form to the submitted forms.
Adekanye revealed that Screening Test will be conducted in the Six Education Districts on Monday, 27th August, 2018 by9:00 am prompt, stating that parents of successful applicants will be notified through text messages sent to the phone number supplied by them.
She, however, noted that since admission is subject to vacancy in the proposed school, applicants are advised to seek clearance at the District Office of their preferred school before paying for the transfer form.The Permanent Secretary also enjoined students and parents to note that there won’t be transfer into Model Colleges/Upgraded Schools, JSS.3 & SS.2 classes, Inter-State or International Schools.
