OGUN POLICE RESCUED A MAN FROM BLEEDING TO DEATH. (PHOTO). #PRESS RELEASE.

  The Divisional Police Officer of Warewa has successfully rescued Ahmed Owolabi from bleeding to death, who until now did not provoke his passenger neither was able to say the reason behind such callousness to have resulted in such  a deep cut. On January 11, 2025, at about 4:15 PM, Alani Muritala, a resident of Shefu Elede Ibafo, came to the police station to report that his brother, Ahmed Owolabi, a 27-year-old motorcyclist from Onimane Magada Ibafo, had been injured by Sherif Oyeniyi, who lives at 44 Association Road, Orange Estate, Voera, Arepo, Ogun State. The complainant stated that while Ahmed a commercial motorcyclist was conveying  Sherif to his destination, in Arepo and nearing Sherif's residence at Orange Estate, Sherif attacked him with a razor blade, inflicting severe deep cuts on his neck in two separate locations. BLOGGER ARRESTED BY DSS FOR CREATING FAKE DSS WEBSITE, ADVERTISING BOGUS RECRUITMENT. (PHOTO).

  Department of State Services has arrested a 32-year-old blogger, identified as Augustus, for cloning its official website and posting a fake recruitment notice. The suspect, from Akwa Ibom State, was apprehended on Thursday at his residence on Akpan Eno Lane in Abak. According to DSS sources, Augustus, a graduate of the University of Uyo and a content creator, cloned the agency’s website to deceive unsuspecting Nigerians into believing the DSS was conducting a recruitment exercise. “Augustus, a native of Abak L ocal Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, was tracked and arrested by our operatives on Thursday at his residence. “He claimed to be a graduate of the University of Uyo, a blogger, and a content creator. Augustus had cloned the DSS website, where he created a fake online recruitment notice, seemingly with the intent to defraud unsuspecting members of the public,” the source stated.   The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has again appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to call on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to avoid a descent into anarchy following the alleged outright disregard for the rule of law. The state caretaker committee chairman of the party, Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi, made the appeal at a press conference in Benin City following the impeachment of the Oredo Local Government Chairman, Tom Obaseki, on Friday. Aziegbemi alleged that the impeachment was carried out by 12 imposters who masqueraded as councilors and invaded the council’s secretariat in Benin City. The order, contained in a judgment delivered by the presiding judge, C.O. Ajah, stated: “Unless you (Anyanwu) obey the directions contained in this order, you will be guilty of contempt of court and liable to be committed to prison.” The judgment, sighted by newsmen, was sequel to a case filed by Emmanuel Aniagu (plaintiff), with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the PDP Acting National Chairman, Iliya Umar Damagun, Anyanwu, and the PDP National Vice Chairman, Southeast, Ali Odefa, as defendants.
