 Court reverses order which nullified Senate action during Natashaā€™s suit against Akpabio  The Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, set aside its earlier order which nullified any action taken during  Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghanā€™s pending suit which challenges her suspension by the Senate over allegations of misconduct. Justice Obiora Egwuatu gave the order in a ruling on Wednesday. Recall  that Akpoti-Uduaghan had filed a motion ex parte marked FHC/ABJ/CS/384/2025, suing the Clerk of the National Assembly (NASS), the Senate, the Senate President, and Senator Neda Imasuem, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Code of Conduct.  A Merchant Navy officer from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, was brutally murdered, chopped into pieces, and sealed in a drum with cement. His wife, Muskaan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla, carried out the crime after an extramarital affair. Police uncovered a shocking story of betrayal and murder. Saurabh Rajput and Muskaan had a love marriage in 2016, but tensions arose after he quit his job. In 2019, they had a daughter, but their marriage suffered when Saurabh discovered Muskaanā€™s affair.   The Nigerian Senate suspended its plenary session on Wednesday, announcing that the debate on President Bola Tinubu's declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State will now take place on Thursday. The postponement came after a two-hour delay in the commencement of the plenary, as many senators had not taken their seats. Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, who sponsored the motion, moved to step it down until Thursday, citing Order 1(b) of the Senate Standing Orders 2023 (as amended). The motion was seconded by Minority Leader Abba Moro.
