 Walton, Kentucky- 2 elderly women lose their lives and another individual is critically injured in a crash that caused a dump truck to crash through restaurant.  While diners were enjoying a meal at Boondocks Pub on Tuesday, April 8th, a tragic incident occurred shattering the peaceful scene. At around 4:30 p.m. an SUV pulled out in front of a fully loaded dump truck. The driver of the dump truck attempted to brake and steer clear of the SUV but they were not able to avoid a collision. The SUV was struck by the dump truck and the impact caused the SUV to cross the southbound lane where it struck a guardrail and flipped before coming to rest on its top. Sadly the crash took the lives of 91-year-old Eva Mulberry and 89-year-old Betty Holland. A 66-year-old woman who was in the SUV was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.  Lokpobiri Congratulates New NNPCL Leadership, Pledges Sector-Wide Cooperation


Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, has congratulated Mr. Ahmadu Musa Kida on his appointment as Board Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), alongside Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari as Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and other newly appointed board members.


In a statement signed by his media aide, Nneamaka Okafor, Lokpobiri commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his strategic appointments, aligning with the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) to enhance efficiency, accountability, and competitiveness in the sector.


He emphasized that the new leadershipā€™s expertise would position NNPCL to navigate the evolving global energy landscape and drive national energy goals. The minister also reaffirmed the ministryā€™s commitment to collaborating with NNPCLā€™s leadership and called on industry stakeholders to support the new team in advancing Nigeriaā€™s oil and gas sector.


While acknowledging the contributions of former GCEO Mele Kyari, Lokpobiri assured that the Tinubu administration remains focused on fostering investment, growth, and transformation in the industry.
