Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, has congratulated Mr. Ahmadu Musa Kida on his appointment as Board Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), alongside Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari as Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and other newly appointed board members.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Nneamaka Okafor, Lokpobiri commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his strategic appointments, aligning with the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) to enhance efficiency, accountability, and competitiveness in the sector.
He emphasized that the new leadershipās expertise would position NNPCL to navigate the evolving global energy landscape and drive national energy goals. The minister also reaffirmed the ministryās commitment to collaborating with NNPCLās leadership and called on industry stakeholders to support the new team in advancing Nigeriaās oil and gas sector.
While acknowledging the contributions of former GCEO Mele Kyari, Lokpobiri assured that the Tinubu administration remains focused on fostering investment, growth, and transformation in the industry.
