 U.S Finalizes $20,000 Visa Bond Policy Affecting Nigeria and 49 Other Nations The United States government has officially formalized its visa bond policy, making it a permanent measure that could require travelers from 50 designated countries, including Nigeria, to pay a refundable bond of up to $20,000 before receiving certain visas. First introduced as a pilot scheme in 2025, the policy targets applicants seeking B1 and B2 visas, which are designated for business and tourism. According to the U.S. Department of State, the initiative is designed to bolster compliance with local immigration laws and drastically reduce visa overstay rates. WALTON, KENTUCKY- 2 ELDERLY WOMEN LOSE THEIR LIVES AND ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL IS CRITICALLY INJURED IN A CRASH THAT CAUSED A DUMP TRUCK TO CRASH THROUGH RESTAURANT. (PHOTO).

 Walton, Kentucky- 2 elderly women lose their lives and another individual is critically injured in a crash that caused a dump truck to crash through restaurant. 


While diners were enjoying a meal at Boondocks Pub on Tuesday, April 8th, a tragic incident occurred shattering the peaceful scene. At around 4:30 p.m. an SUV pulled out in front of a fully loaded dump truck. The driver of the dump truck attempted to brake and steer clear of the SUV but they were not able to avoid a collision.


The SUV was struck by the dump truck and the impact caused the SUV to cross the southbound lane where it struck a guardrail and flipped before coming to rest on its top. Sadly the crash took the lives of 91-year-old Eva Mulberry and 89-year-old Betty Holland. A 66-year-old woman who was in the SUV was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.


As a result of attempting to avoid the collision the dumptruck went of the roadway and into the parking lot of Boondocks restaurant. The dumptruck then collided with four parked cars before ultimately crashing through the front of the establishment. No one inside of the restaurant was injured as a result of the crash.


Our thoughts are with the families of the victims of this tragic incident.
