 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings. COVID-19: LAGOS RELEASES GUIDELINES ON BUILDING CONSTRUCTION.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     Sequel to the gradual and controlled easing of the COVID-19 lockdown in the State, the Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, has released updated guidelines relevant to building construction sites in the State.
The guidelines were listed in a statement issued on Friday by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, who said that it had become expedient to provide additional directives to curtail the continuous spread of the Coronavirus on all construction sites in the State.
According to the Commissioner, having taken cognisance of the vital contribution of the Construction Industry to the economy of the State and the need to safeguard the sector, especially at this trying period, all construction sites must observe the new guidelines issued by the government.
He listed some of the guidelines to include: Conspicuous display of safety information about COVID-19 on-site; maintaining a register and daily records of all workers engaged on the site; daily monitoring and documentation of the health conditions of all workers on-site; limiting the number of workers per building construction site of 650sqm to 15; displaying the approved copy of the building design on site.
Others expectations include restricting the requests for stage inspection/certification of buildings to online process; provision of hand sanitiser and/or water receptacle for regular handwashing; use of Personal Protective Equipment, including facemask, by all personnel; observing physical distancing at all times and limiting the attendance at project meetings to 15 persons, among others.
Salako explained that the guidelines formed an update to the existing directives and regulations guiding construction sites in the State, noting that the list must be displayed visibly at strategic locations within the project site to guide compliance and guarantee the safety of workers as well as visitors to the site.
While warning that any defaulting construction site would be shut down immediately, he enjoined the general public to explore the online portal for the processing of their planning permits and other services of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity.
