 501 Blind Candidates to Sit 2025 UTME — Okebukola Chairman of the JAMB Equal Opportunity Group (JEOG), Prof. Peter Okebukola, has announced that 501 blind candidates will take the 2025 UTME across 11 centres nationwide on April 28–29. Okebukola confirmed that the candidates will write the same exams as others without lowered standards. He also revealed that 84 SSCE-qualified blind candidates will have their registration fees refunded on-site. Since 2017, JAMB has supported blind candidates with free accommodation, meals, transport aid, and exam materials under the leadership of Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede. This year’s exam will feature two formats: Fully-Braille and Fully Read-Aloud. Lagos and Kano have the highest number of blind candidates, with experienced professors coordinating the centres.

 Nollywood Veteran RMD Backs Polygamy, Says It’s Unfair to Marry Just One Woman


Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has expressed his support for polygamy, stating that it is unfair to be married to only one woman. The movie icon made the remarks during a recent episode of the show Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by Bae U Barbie.


When asked, “You are married to only one woman. Do you think that is fair? Do you have an idea of how many women who want you?” RMD responded, “I don’t, but I think it is unfair to be married to just one woman. My father had five wives.” 


RMD is currently married to television personality Jumobi Adegbesan. The couple tied the knot after the death of his first wife, talk show host May Ellen ‘MEE’ Mofe-Damijo, in 1996.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
