 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU ON A THREE-STATE VISIT; TO SPEND THE END-OF-YEAR HOLIDAY IN LAGOS President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Saturday to visit Borno, Bauchi and Lagos States.   While in Borno State, President Tinubu will commission some projects undertaken by Governor Babagana Zulum and the Federal Government.   He will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of the former Governor of the State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and his heartthrob, Hadiza Kam Salem.   From Maiduguri, the President will move to Bauchi to condole with the Government of Bauchi State and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the late renowned Muslim cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood.   The Sheikh died on November 27.   After the condolence visit, President Bola Tinubu will leave for Lagos, where he will spend the upcoming end-of-year holidays.   He is expected to be the guest of honour at the Eyo Festival schedule...

 Funke Akindele Reveals She’s Raising Twins Alone, Accuses Ex-Husband JJC Skillz of Neglecting Parental Duties


Renowned Nigerian actress Funke Akindele has publicly stated that she is single-handedly raising her twin children, accusing her estranged husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz, of shirking his responsibilities as a father. The couple, who tied the knot in 2016 and welcomed twins in 2018, announced their separation in June 2022.


In a candid interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Akindele opened up about the challenges she has faced in recent years, including the loss of her mother, her political setback in the 2023 elections, and the collapse of her marriage. The actress revealed that she has been solely responsible for their children’s upbringing since the split.


“I lost my mum, my marriage fell apart, I lost in politics, I have to get back to work, I have to earn a living. I have children I’m raising alone, and you are stressing me,” Akindele said, addressing online critics who she claims falsely accused her of wrongdoing.


Reflecting on her struggles, she admitted to battling depression and nearly losing her life after her mother’s death. “My heart was aching… For the first time, I broke down for weeks,” she shared, recounting a moment where she went live on social media to defend herself against accusations tied to an actor who worked on one of her projects.


JJC Skillz had previously addressed their separation on Instagram in 2022, stating, “We both are pursuing separate lives. We still have issues such as the custody and wellbeing of our children to be addressed, as well as business interests which need to be disentangled.” However, Akindele’s recent comments suggest unresolved tensions regarding their co-parenting arrangement.
