Kevin Spacey to face three additional sexual assault claims in London civil court Kevin Spacey is set to face three new civil claims of sexual assault in London next year, according to court reports. The allegations come from three separate men who say the actor assaulted them between 2000 and 2013. A judge has suggested a provisional trial date of Oct. 12, 2026, though it has not yet been decided whether the cases will be heard together or separately. The Oscar-winning actor, who served as artistic director of the Old Vic from 2004 to 2013, has denied two of the three claims and has yet to file a defense in the third. One man alleges Spacey “deliberately assaulted” him on 12 occasions between 2000 and 2005, while another claims an assault in 2008 caused psychiatric harm and financial loss. That second case was originally filed in 2022 but was paused when Spacey faced criminal charges; he was acquitted of nine sexual offense charges at a London trial in July 2023. The third claima...

Trump rescinds South Africa’s invitation to 2026 G20 summit President Donald Trump has withdrawn South Africa’s invitation to next year’s G20 summit in Miami, intensifying tensions between Washington and Johannesburg. The announcement came on Wednesday on Trump’s Truth Social platform as the current G20 summit in South Africa concluded without U.S. participation. Trump said in his statement that South Africa “has demonstrated to the world they are not a country worthy of membership anywhere” and that all U.S. payments and subsidies to the country would be halted immediately. Trump’s criticisms of South Africa have escalated since he returned to the White House. In February, he threatened to cut U.S. funding over a new South African law allowing land expropriation in certain cases to address inequalities stemming from apartheid. Trump claimed the law enabled the “confiscation” of land in violation of White South Africans’ human rights. He has also alleged that White South Africans ...

Contact with the primary satellite was confirmed at 1:55 a.m., allowing experts to check its condition. Science Minister Bae Kyung-hoon hailed the launch as a milestone, emphasizing that it marks a shift in South Korea’s space program from a government-led approach to one increasingly led by the private sector. “This was an important turning point in which the focus of the space ecosystem shifted to the private sector,” he said, adding that the government aims to make South Korea one of the world’s top five space pow...

JOHNNY CASH ESTATE FILES LAWSUIT AGAINST COCA-COLA OVER AD. (PHOTO).

Image
Johnny Cash estate files lawsuit against Coca-Cola over ad Johnny Cash’s estate has filed a lawsuit against Coca-Cola, alleging the company used a pirated version of the late singer’s iconic voice in a national advertising campaign. The lawsuit claims Cash “has one of the most legendary and distinctive voices in the history of music” and that Coca-Cola exploited it in its “Fan Work Is Thirsty Work” campaign for the 2025 NCAA college football season to boost sales. According to the estate, the ad featured a vocal track that sounded “remarkably like the Voice of Johnny Cash,” despite the singer having passed away in 2003. The estate invokes the recently passed ELVIS Act, which protects artists from unauthorized commercial use of their voice and AI-generated recreations. Since Cash’s death, his voice has only been licensed twice, both times for Super Bowl advertisements. The lawsuit alleges that Coca-Cola hired an advertising agency, which in turn used a tribute singer to mimic Cash’s bas...

Speaking Thursday during a visit to Kyrgyzstan, Putin said the draft framework could serve as the basis for a deal to resolve the nearly four-year conflict. “In general, we agree that this can be the basis for future agreements,” he said, adding that the U.S. appears to be taking Russia’s position into account. Putin noted that U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff is scheduled to travel to Moscow next week for further talks. LOUISIANA DEATH ROW INMATE FREED ON BAIL AFTER CONVICTION IN CHILD’S DEATH OVERTURNED NEARLY 30 YEARS LATER (PHOTO).

Image
Louisiana death row inmate freed on bail after conviction in child’s death overturned nearly 30 years later A Louisiana man who spent nearly 30 years on death row has been released on bail after his 1998 conviction for the death of a 23-month-old child was overturned earlier this year. Jimmie Duncan had been convicted of first-degree murder in the death of Haley Oliveaux, the daughter of his then-girlfriend, Allison Layton Statham. Prosecutors had alleged that Duncan had raped and drowned the toddler. In April, Fourth Judicial District Court Judge Alvin Sharp vacated the conviction after expert testimony revealed that the forensic evidence relied on at trial—particularly bite mark analysis—was scientifically unreliable, and that Oliveaux’s death appeared consistent with an accidental drowning. Judge Sharp cited Duncan’s lack of prior criminal history and the new evidence in granting him bail. Duncan’s attorneys described the ruling as “clear and convincing evidence” of his factual...

Image
U.S will not observe World AIDS Day this year, State Department says The federal government will not take part in this year’s World AIDS Day, an annual observance held every Dec. 1 since 1988 to honor those who have died from the disease and raise awareness. The State Department has instructed employees and grant recipients not to use federal funds to commemorate the day. While staff may continue to highlight work on AIDS and other diseases, they are directed to avoid publicly promoting World AIDS Day in any official messaging. A department spokesperson said the focus is on working directly with foreign governments to save lives and increase shared responsibility, rather than symbolic awareness events. World AIDS Day has long been recognized by U.S. presidents, with President Bill Clinton issuing the first federal proclamation in 1993. Despite this year’s federal non-participation, other commemorative days, including those for autism, organ donation, and cancer, have continued to ...

Update- Shocking arrests have been made after authorities in Michigan find what they believe to be the deceased remains of Rebecca Park (first picture), who went missing while she was 38 weeks pregnant.  Rebecca's fiancée, 43-year-old Richard Falor and her 21-year-old sister Kimberly Park (last picture) were both taken into custody in the hours following the discovery of a body that is believed to be Rebecca. Nigeria condemns the military coup in Guinea-Bissau in the strongest terms The Federal Government of Nigeria has learned with profound dismay and deep concern the unfortunate military coup which has led to an unconstitutional change of government in the Republic of Guinea-Bissau. The Federal Government of Nigeria, in the strongest possible terms, condemns this act of military insurrection which undermines the democratic progress, constitutional order, and stability not only of Guinea-Bissau but of the entire West African sub-region. This coup d'état represents a blatant violation of the fundamental principles of the ECOWAS Protocol on Democracy and Good Governance, which explicitly rejects any ascension to power through unconstitutional means. We stand in solidarity with the people of Guinea-Bissau and call for the immediate and unconditional restoration of constitutional order, the safety and security of all those detained and the full respect for the sanctity of democratic instit...
