ABC delays Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday episode due to 'personal matter' The Thursday episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! was postponed due to a “personal matter” involving the host. ABC informed fans who had tickets for the taping at the El Capitan Theatre that the show was “postponed” and that their tickets would be valid for a future recording. The episode had been scheduled to feature Malice star David Duchovny, Stranger Things actor Joe Keery, and musical guest Madison Beer. Beer addressed the postponement on social media, writing, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Jimmy Kimmel Live needed to reschedule my performance that was originally set to air tonight to a later date. I’ll share more details on timing when I can, I can’t wait for you all to see it.” In place of the new episode, ABC aired a repeat from October 28. While it is uncommon for Kimmel or other late-night hosts to miss a show, the demanding schedule occasionally leads to personal matters requiring their attention.
