Ebonyi State Community in Anambra Celebrates 2025 New Yam Festival and Confers Chieftaincy Titles In Ogbunike The Izzi Nnodo Ekumaenyi Progressive Union, a body of Izzi indigenes from Ebonyi State residing in Anambra, has celebrated its 2025 New Yam Festival with a thanksgiving Mass at No. 10 Bunko Road, near Tour Gate, Ogbunike, during which ten deserving indigenes were honored. In a homily to usher in the new yam festival , Rev. Father John Nwiziogo, urged the people to persevere in faith, embrace the Cross, and reflect Christ in humility, obedience and character, while thanking God for the gift of the new yam harvest.
