 Man Arrested for Murder of Pregnant Girlfriend in Leeufontein The police in Marble Hall have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the brutal murder of his girlfriend at Leeufontein RDP section yesterday. According to police reports, officers received information from community members about an injured woman at Leeufontein RDP. When they arrived, they found a 23-year-old woman lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds. Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene, but she was certified dead. Chinese scientists are working on the world’s first “gestation robot” that could potentially give birth to a live baby, according to a report by The Telegraph.  The machine is being developed to imitate a natural pregnancy, allowing a fetus to grow from conception to delivery inside an artificial womb. Nutrients would be supplied through a tube, similar to how a mother’s body supports a child during pregnancy. The project is being led by Dr Zhang Qifeng, a scientist from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, through Guangzhou-based Kaiwa Technology. Dr Zhang has said that the technology is already in a “mature stage” and is now being prepared to be implanted in the robot’s abdomen.  EFCC Arrests 36 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Port Harcourt Operatives of the Port Harcourt Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  have arrested 36 suspected internet fraudsters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State They were arrested on Tuesday,  August 19, 2025 in a sting operation at various locations within Port Harcourt following credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in internet- related fraud. Items recovered from them include different models of exotic vehicles, a Q-link Motorcycle, various brands of phone and laptop containing incriminating and fraudulent documents.  The suspects will  be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.
