 EKITI RECRUITS 400 AMOTEKUN, AGRO MARSHAL CORPS  The administration of Biodun Oyebanji as the governor of Ekiti State has recruited 404 personnel as Amotekun, Agro-Marshal, and Anti-grazing corps.  The new recruits into the Ekiti State Security Network Agency underwent three weeks of intensive training at the NYSC Orientation Camp ground at Ise Ekiti.   During the Passing-Out ceremony on Friday, the representative of the governor said the Amotekun, Agro Marshall and Grazing Marshal Corps will reduce crime, protect lives and property, protect agricultural projects, ensure food security, enhance intelligence gathering and sharing, and boost collaboration with other security agencies.

The Tempe Police Department took 21-year-old Heston Cobb into custody Thursday after linking him to social media accounts that posted videos of the stunts and identifying him as the leader of the group involved. Cobb faces charges including third-degree burglary, criminal impersonation, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass. Between March and July, police received multiple complaints from businesses about a group of men who entered stores disguised as employees. They reportedly disrupted operations by accessing employee-only areas and refusing to leave when asked.  Royal Caribbean crew member stabs coworker, dies after jumping overboard A Royal Caribbean crew member died after jumping overboard Thursday night following an incident in which he stabbed a fellow crew member aboard the Icon of the Seas cruise ship, the Royal Bahamas Police Force reported. The 35-year-old South African man allegedly stabbed a 28-year-old South African woman multiple times just before 7:30 p.m. while the ship was near San Salvador Island in the Bahamas. After the attack, the man fled and jumped off the vessel. Onboard medical personnel later found him deceased. The woman sustained stab wounds to her upper body and is reported to be in stable condition. Royal Caribbean described the incident as a "personal dispute" but did not provide further details or identify those involved. An autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of the man’s death.
