TAKE THE WINDOW OF QUIETUDE FOR THERAPY . (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

Image
TAKE THE WINDOW OF QUIETUDE FOR THERAPY  The recent posts by Regina present a version of events that is both misleading and inconsistent with long established family practice. Publicly sharing moments involving the children has never been new, unusual, or controversial within the family. It has always been a shared tradition, and the same individual now objecting has repeatedly and voluntarily posted not only her own children, but also the children of other wives over the years, regardless of circumstances, without any objection, hesitation, or concern for privacy. At no point in those moments was it described as exploitation or irresponsibility. To now describe the very same actions as harmful, simply because they no longer align with her present narrative, makes it hard to ignore the inconsistency in her claims. Equally misleading is the suggestion that she has been prevented from being present in the children's lives. Her prolonged absence has been by choice, not force. Th...

NFF HAS FORMALLY PETITIONED FIFA OVER ALLEGATIONS THAT THE DR CONGO FIELDED INELIGIBLE PLAYERS DURING THEIR DECISIVE 2026 FIFA WORLD CUP PLAYOFF ENCOUNTER. (PHOTO).

Image
NFF has formally petitioned FIFA over allegations that the DR Congo fielded ineligible players during their decisive 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff encounter   Speaking with journalists at an event on Tuesday, Mohammed Sanusi, NFF general secretary, accused the Congolese FA of deceiving FIFA into clearing players for its national team despite their status contravening the country’s citizenship laws. Sanusi said DR Congo laws established that “you cannot have dual nationality”, adding that several members of the Leopards squad at the playoffs have both European and Congolese passports. He said the DR Congo FA was “fraudulent” in its registration of the players, and the NFF has submitted a petition to FIFA to investigate the matter.   “FIFA cleared the players because FIFA’s eligibility rule is different from DR Congo’s rule. FIFA regulations say that once you have the passport of your country, you are eligible,” Sanusi said.   “But our contention is that FIFA was deceiv...

FIFA HAS LAUNCHED AN INVESTIGATION INTO ALLEGATIONS THAT THE DR CONGO FIELDED INELIGIBLE PLAYERS DURING THE AFRICAN QUALIFYING PLAYOFFS FOR THE 2026 FIFA WORLD CUP, A DEVELOPMENT THAT COULD REOPEN NIGERIA’S PATH TO THE TOURNAMENT. (PHOTO).

Image
FIFA has reportedly launched an investigation into allegations that the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) fielded ineligible players during the African qualifying playoffs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a development that could reopen Nigeria’s path to the tournament.   The Super Eagles were eliminated from the World Cup qualifying race after losing to DR Congo on penalties in the decisive playoff for Africa’s intercontinental qualifying spot. The tie ended 1–1 after extra time before DR Congo prevailed in the shootout. However, the result is now under scrutiny amid claims that several DR Congo players may not have met FIFA’s eligibility requirements. The ongoing probe reportedly centers on concerns that around nine players who featured for DR Congo may have switched national allegiances without completing the necessary legal and administrative procedures under Congolese law and FIFA regulations.   DR Congo generally does not recognise dual citizenship, meaning players who...

Australian police say Islamic State inspired Bondi Beach mass shooting  Australian authorities have declared that the mass shooting which killed 15 people during a Hanukkah celebration at Sydney’s Bondi Beach was a terrorist attack inspired by the Islamic State group. Federal Police Commissioner Krissy Barrett said investigators reached that conclusion based on evidence recovered during the investigation. Officials identified the suspects as a father and son, aged 50 and 24. The older man, Sajid Akram, was shot and killed by police at the scene, while his son remains hospitalized under guard. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said investigators found Islamic State flags inside a vehicle linked to the attackers, reinforcing concerns that the violence was ideologically motivated. Of the dozens wounded in the attack, 25 people remain hospitalized, including 10 in critical condition. Three of the injured are children receiving care at a pediatric hospital. Victims ranged in age fro...

Zelenskyy says Russia may receive peace proposals in coming days  Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday that proposals for a peace deal to end the nearly four-year war with Russia, negotiated with U.S. officials, could be finalized within days. Once completed, American envoys are expected to present the plan to the Kremlin before potential follow-up meetings in the United States next weekend. Zelenskyy described the draft peace plan discussed during talks in Berlin as “very workable,” though he noted key issues, particularly the status of Ukrainian territory currently occupied by Russian forces, remain unresolved. U.S. officials said about 90% of the plan, authored by Washington, has broad agreement from Ukraine and European partners. Zelenskyy emphasized that Kyiv will not recognize Russian control over any part of the Donbas region, while Moscow is pushing for recognition of territories seized in eastern Ukraine and the Crimean peninsula. Zelenskyy added th...

NETFLIX CANCELS BOOTS AFTER ONE SEASON. (PHOTO).

Netflix cancels Boots after one season Netflix has decided not to move forward with a second season of Boots, the military coming-of-age comedy-drama and the final project from legendary producer Norman Lear. The cancellation comes more than two months after the eight-episode first season debuted on the streaming platform. Despite strong critical reception—earning a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from both critics and viewers—and respectable viewership numbers, Netflix opted not to continue the series. The show had internal support, and discussions between Netflix and studio Sony Pictures Television examined long-term audience engagement before the decision. Sony had even extended contracts in August for key cast members, including Miles Heizer, Liam Oh, Kieron Moore, Dominic Goodman, Angus O’Brien, Blake Burt, and Rico Paris, in hopes of securing a second season. However, Netflix’s exclusivity terms make it difficult for outside studios to shop a canceled series elsewhere. Created by A...

DEADLINE TO BAN TIKTOK NEARS AGAIN AS TRUMP WEIGHS FIFTH EXTENSION. (PHOTO).

Image
Deadline to ban TikTok nears again as Trump weighs fifth extension The deadline for TikTok to be banned in the United States has arrived once again, despite months of White House messaging suggesting a deal with China was close to completion. The looming cutoff revives a familiar question: whether President Donald Trump will issue yet another extension to keep the popular social media platform operating, even as federal law requires its sale or removal. Earlier this year, the app briefly stopped functioning on U.S. phones to comply with legislation passed by Congress during the Biden administration, only to be restored days later through executive action by Trump. Since returning to office, Trump has repeatedly used executive orders to delay the enforcement of the law while his administration pursued negotiations aimed at transferring TikTok’s U.S. operations away from Chinese control. Each extension was framed as a temporary measure while talks continued with Beijing and potentia...
