Bill Nye receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame Bill Nye, the Central New York–born science educator and television host, was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, becoming the 2,821st recipient. His star, in the Television category, is located at 6357 Hollywood Boulevard. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce recognized Nye for his work “to make science accessible and entertaining for all ages.” In addition to hosting Bill Nye the Science Guy, he is an engineer, comedian, inventor, best-selling author, and CEO of The Planetary Society, the world’s largest nonprofit space organization co-founded by Carl Sagan.
