Ayra Starr and Rema join forces on “Who’s Dat Girl”- A collision of fire and freedom When Ayra Starr and Rema finally came together on Who’s Dat Girl, it wasn’t just a song — it was a cultural moment. The kind that stops time for a second, makes you look up, and realize you’re witnessing two of Afrobeats’ brightest constellations colliding in full orbit. For years, fans had imagined it — the two Mavin golden kids, both charting global paths, finally sharing one microphone. When it happened, it wasn’t quiet. It was loud, cinematic, and unapologetically youthful.

The Norwegian striker, who has been in red-hot form all season, scored twice in the second half to hand Pep Guardiola’s men a deserved victory after a sluggish opening period. Everton started the brighter side, pressing high and creating the better early chances. Iliman Ndiaye forced Gianluigi Donnarumma into a fine save, while Beto squandered a sitter from close range. City also survived a nervy moment when Jake O’Brien’s misdirected header crashed against his own crossbar.

The ship, Falcon, was fully loaded with liquefied petroleum gas, raising fears of a possible explosion. Officials offered differing explanations for the blaze. British authorities suggested a projectile hit the vessel, while the European Union described it as likely an accident. The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that the incident occurred about 210 kilometers (130 miles) east of Aden. MEXICO’S DEADLY FLOODS HIGHLIGHT GAPS IN SEVERE WEATHER WARNING SYSTEMS. (PHOTO).

Image
Mexico’s deadly floods highlight gaps in severe weather warning systems Recent torrential rains in east-central Mexico, which have claimed at least 72 lives and left dozens missing, are highlighting ongoing challenges in the country’s ability to warn residents of severe weather in time. Authorities have described last week’s floods and landslides as unpredictable, while residents reported never experiencing anything similar. Researchers note that what was once considered extreme or unusual weather is increasingly normal due to climate change, making timely preparation and warning systems essential. Experts point to gaps in both technology and public awareness. Mexico lacks sufficient river-level monitoring equipment and comprehensive weather radar coverage, limiting the precision of forecasts. Even when forecasts exist, officials often fail to implement robust prevention strategies for compounded weather events. In Veracruz, for example, the forecasted rainfall the day before the ...

More than 60% of Port-au-Prince’s health facilities, including the country’s main hospital, are now closed or non-functional because of the ongoing violence. The emergency center, located in the Turgeau neighborhood, had temporarily shut in March 2025 after gunmen opened fire on four of its vehicles while evacuating staff, leaving several employees with minor injuries. “The building has already been hit several times by stray bullets due to its location close to the combat zones, which would make resuming activities too dangerous for both patients and s...

In August, her income vanished. Her employer told her she could no longer work after the Trump administration ended the humanitarian parole program, which had allowed Cubans, Haitians, Venezuelans, and Nicaraguans like Maria to obtain legal work permits. “I feel desperate,” said Maria, 48, speaking anonymously out of fear of detention or deportation. “I have $5 in my account.
