Portable breaks down in tears and apologizes again for slapping preacher Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, broke down in tears as he issued yet another apology following a confrontation with a preacher outside his bar. The singer's apology, which is his second in a row, comes after gospel singer Testimony Jaga gave Portable a three-day ultimatum to apologize to the pastor or face unspecified consequences. The controversial street star explained that his reaction was due to a past traumatic experience involving his sister, who was once attacked by someone posing as a pastor. He added that he would not have slapped the preacher if he knew he was a "true man of God."  TIKTOK SETS NEW MONETISATION GUIDELINES FOR CREATORS-

TikTok, a popular social media platform, has announced the rollout of new guidelines for earning money through its livestreaming feature, TikTok LIVE.

The platform said in a statement that the guidelines aim to promote positive, inclusive, and authentic communities and will be enforced through a combination of technology and human moderation.

Under the new guidelines, certain types of content, including inauthentic or low-quality content, will not be eligible for monetization.

TikTok warned that creators who violate the guidelines will be notified and may face restrictions on their access to monetization features.

TikTok’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service will continue to set the standards for acceptable content on the platform, including TikTok LIVE.

The company revealed that it was also updating its approach to onboarding new LIVE creators, with a phased rollout of advanced LIVE monetisation features to help new streamers learn the rules as they grow their audience.

The Head of TikTok LIVE, Middle East, Turkey, Africa and Pakistan, Waseem Sayegh, said, “We believe these updates will empower our LIVE community’s creativity while helping ensure our features promote the positive interactions they’re intended for.

“The vast majority of LIVE creators already follow our safety rules and Monetization Guidelines, and we’ll continue to build resources, moderation processes and tools that can help them foster safe, inclusive and authentic LIVE communities.”

In addition, TikTok launched a new LIVE Safety Center resource and updated its in-app LIVE Safety Education Center, where creators can view policy violations and educational content.

TikTok has some of the industry’s strictest live streaming requirements, with creators required to be at least 18 years old and meet additional criteria to go live.
